iBusiness (IB) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ib.2013.53B007
Abstract:

The development of the ice-snow tourism needs a scientific and effective method to assess the value of ice-snow tourism resource and its realization degree effectively and reasonability. Based on the analysis of expectation value and realization value of ice-snow tourism resource, this paper designs a three-dimension assessment index system and constructs the method of assessing the value of ice-snow tourism resource and its realization degree. Finally using ISW scenic area in Heilongjiang Province as an example for empirical analysis, the results show that the method can be effective in assessing the value of ice-snow tourism resource and its realization degree.

Probabilities and Path-Integral Realization of Exclusion Statistics  [PDF]
Alexios P. Polychronakos
Physics , 1995, DOI: 10.1016/0370-2693(95)01302-4
Abstract: A microscopic formulation of Haldane's exclusions statistics is given in terms of a priori occupation probabilities of states. It is shown that negative probabilities are always necessary to reproduce fractional statistics. Based on this formulation, a path-integral realization for systems with exclusion statistics is derived. This has the advantage of being generalizable to interacting systems, and can be used as the starting point for further generalizations of statistics. As a byproduct, the vanishing of the heat capacity at zero temperature for exclusion statistics systems is proved.

International Business and Management , 2013, DOI: 10.3968/j.ibm.1923842820130601.1050
Abstract: The purposes of this article is to assess how many of the tourism marketing strategy and actions contained in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Tourism Marketing Strategy 2005-2010 adopted. In addition, the article will provide information about the size and scope of activities that were completed or are in process. A questioner was developed and interviews were follow-up with administrators, department chairs and commissioners in March 2010 to gather data on specific activities related to the ASEZA tourism marketing strategy, and additional data was drawn from the ASEZA database. The result shows that there is no obvious tourism marketing strategy, goals, and consistency between the tourism marketing strategy and the real market of the ASEZA. The main conclusions war that the budgets are not sufficient for attaining the level of impact required; lack of market research, advertising decisions, the personal preferences rather than market research was the main reasons of the marketing strategy gap. Demonstration of an optical quantum controlled-NOT gate without path interference  [PDF]
Ryo Okamoto,Holger F. Hofmann,Shigeki Takeuchi,Keiji Sasaki
Physics , 2005, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevLett.95.210506
Abstract: We report the first experimental demonstration of an optical quantum controlled-NOT gate without any path interference, where the two interacting path interferometers of the original proposals (Phys. Rev. A {\bf 66}, 024308 (2001), Phys. Rev. A {\bf 65}, 012314 (2002)) have been replaced by three partially polarizing beam splitters with suitable polarization dependent transmittances and reflectances. The performance of the device is evaluated using a recently proposed method (Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 94}, 160504 (2005)), by which the quantum process fidelity and the entanglement capability can be estimated from the 32 measurement results of two classical truth tables, significantly less than the 256 measurement results required for full quantum tomography.
Integrating Sustainable Tourism Development in Coastal and Marine Zone Environment  [cached]
Lawal Mohammed Marafa
Tourism in coastal areas brings along both positive and negative effects on the environment as a result of activities exerted upon such areas by proponents and tourists. While tourism development results in the modification of coastal environments, it can also flourish where such environments are left unmodified as the pristine nature of the environments attract visitors. Alternatively, in order for marine and coastal tourism to develop and continue to attract tourists, there is the need for an integrated approach that can be translated into a sustainable coastal tourism development. The aim of this paper therefore, is to postulate and develop a framework and guideline to be addressed by decision-makers for coastal areas. Frameworks for sustainable coastal tourism development and coastal zone management (CZM) are suggested taking into account the multifaceted nature of the coastal environment. Although Hong Kong epitomizes a successful tourism destination, alternative tourism is attractive as the diversity of habitats and life forms makes the Hong Kong coastal area unique. For the ecological richness to continue to provide avenues for alternative tourism, it is argued that such frameworks should be adaptable and implemented for a sustainable coastal tourism policy.
