Abstract: There has long been a debated argument since the Southern Song Dynasty over the existence of Sun Wu, the master of the art of war the Spring and Autumn period, an argument which is centered on the fact that Sun Wu was somehow never mentioned in his contemporary historical record of Zuo Zhuan. This study offers a new argument that Sun Wu was exactly a well known historical figure: General Tian Kai of Qi, the record of whom can be readily found and recogonized in Zuo Zhuan. The argument is based on a careful study of classical historical records and a newly discovered Sun Family Genealogy. This study provides a new understanding and a valid historical perspective of The Art of war by Sun Wu.

Abstract: In 2014, the National Association of Homebuilders conducted an initial survey about the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in residential construction. They found that BIM had not been widely adopted, but there was interest in future use. Four years later, the authors, Prof. Ghosh Dastider and Matt Jefferies at Washington University in St. Louis used a similar methodology to see what has changed. They found a significant increase in BIM’s application in the multifamily residential industry. Based on data collected from the re-conducted survey, the authors concluded with the future predictions on how use of BIM will accelerate in residential construction market in next few years. Few significant findings indicate increased use of BIM among contractors along with design built firms, as well as during the construction phase and life cycle analysis.

Abstract: One of the most interesting topics in the field of automated design is a concept known as the "building information model." Since the beginning of the computer-aided design application it became possible to draw in three dimensional space, using real models of objects that contain the complete technical information, which is necessary for the whole system calculation and the unique identification of objects. This allows us to solve problems related to control the changes in the drawings.But during the life cycle of a building information can be changed, supplemented, and to unite. To realize this idea it is necessary to create unified standard for storing and sharing such information, which is independent from specific software and contains all the necessary and sufficient information to ensure the building's life cycle. The aim of BIM is the creation of a unified base for the such standard.In this paper details the functions and tasks of BIM, and shows the existing alternative standards, which realize the BIM at the moment.

Abstract: This paper reviews and analyses issues relating to the uptake of BIM in the NZ construction industry. There have been few BIM applications in NZ; in particular, in post-construction phases like facilities management, there is none. The paper found that the three reasons why BIM has not been widely accepted and used in New Zealand are: the slow uptake by NZ construction companies; a lack of Kiwi-focused BIM initiatives (led by the government and industry bodies); and a lack of BIM-based building life cycle considerations. Therefore, the paper concludes that there is an urgent need for a joint research programme in NZ to develop a Kiwi-oriented knowledge base on BIM. Given the fact that all major research organisations currently have development plans in their pipelines, coupled with potential developments of the Christchurch Cit after the quake, it seems an ideal time to take a BIM-based research initiative in the country. This joint BIM- focused research programme should concentrate on construction management processes, including procurement management, contract management, information management, as well as post-construction aspects such as facility management.

Abstract: BIM (building information modeling)技术为工程建设行业注入了新的活力,但行业对BIM的应用集中于项目规划设计阶段,较少应用于施工阶段且相关研究主要关注BIM技术的实现,较少考虑BIM实施的管理和组织过程。为了有效拓展BIM在施工阶段的应用,该文通过分析传统工程管理流程存在的问题以及BIM辅助施工管理的优势和价值,提出了施工阶段的BIM应用模式,构建了由模拟BIM系统和实时BIM系统组成的施工管理平台架构,并设计了2个系统的实施流程。结果表明:该文可为施工阶段BIM的深化应用提供参考,也能够为施工阶段的综合信息化管理提供思路。
Abstract:BIM (building information modeling) is a promising approach for improving the efficiency of the construction industry, but it is mainly used in the planning and design of construction projects, with less use during construction. Although some research has been done to promote BIM during construction, most research has focused on the development of BIM methods with little work on the management and organization needed to implement BIM. This paper describes how to efficiently implement BIM during the construction phase by analyzing problems related to traditional construction management approaches. A conceptual framework is given for a BIM-aided construction management platform, which consists of a simulated BIM system and a real-time BIM system to further promote system implementation. This research will benefit application of BIM during the construction phase, as well as a comprehensive information management system.

Abstract: Recently, Building Information Modeling (BIM) has emerged as a hot topic in the construction industry. However, the application of civil engineering, both domestic and foreign, is minor because of the distribution in a wide area, highly liner dependence and difficulty to take advantage of the standard library.? Civil engineering requires a lot of time and financial resources compared to architectural engineering. If BIM is completely applied to civil engineering, it will be possible to manage the schedule and cost using 3D and facilitates effective communication between various stakeholders. For the application of BIM in civil engineering, we surveyed the awareness, utilization and effectiveness of BIM on the civil engineering companies. Also, we derived necessary improvements and analyzed new business areas for BIM application. The results of the study will be used as a reference of development for SOC civil engineering BIM ordering guide and related standard.

Abstract: Today, with many of the technological issues of integrated information management resolved (perhaps excluding the matter of interoperability), defining the content and status of BIM information deliveries remains both a practical and a theoretical problem. New BIM tools and new design processes and procedures have led to a certain confusion of what information is needed for particular BIM uses. This paper seeks to explore and enable a method of defining the content of model information deliverables through a review of 2 key primary specific BIM uses: 3d Design Coordination and Early Energy Appraisal through an analysis of practical application. The scope of this study is limited to a review of information flow within residential projects in a Swedish context and looks at two projects with a view to identify and establish a common definition of the key BIM objects and properties necessary for particular tasks. The key deliverable from this study is the BIM-Info Delivery Protocol (IDP) which attempts to align consultant BIM-information delivery expectations and represents a tangible solution to assist consultants to manage BIM information. Concluding reflections consider the positioning of the IDP relative to the on-going development of IDMs / MVDs and highlight the key constituent parameters of an Information Delivery Specification (IDS).
