Abstract: A method to track mobile terminals in a cellular communication network is presented. It uses the received field strength from the surrounding base stations. A subsequent Kalman filtering is used to minimize the tracking error.

Abstract:
In this article we propose to combine an integrated method, the PCA-GMM method that generates a relatively improved segmentation outcome as compared to conventional GMM with Kalman Filtering (KF). The combined new method the PCA-GMM-KF attempts tracking multiple moving objects; the size and position of the objects along the sequence of their images in dynamic scenes. Abstract: Multi-user detection is an effective method to reduce multiple access interference in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. This paper discusses a signal subspace based blind adaptive multiuser detector and a Kalman filtering blind adaptive multiuser detector. Combining them together, a new Kalman filtering blind adaptive multiuser detector based on a tracking algorithm of the signal subspace is proposed. Analysis and simulation show that the proposed blind multiuser detector achieves better suppression of multiple access interference and has a higher convergence rate.

Abstract: Visual object tracking is required in many tasks such as video compression, surveillance, automated video analysis, etc. mean shift algorithm is one of popular methods to this task and has some advantages comparing to other tracking methods. This method would not be appropriate in the case of large target appearance changes and occlusion; therefore target model update could actually improve this method. KALMAN filter is a suitable approach to handle model update. We performed mean shift algorithm with model update ability for tracking in this paper and achieve good results.

Abstract: In this publication a method for tracking a speaker with acoustical information by means of a microphone array is presented. A sound source localization algorithm based on the time delays of arrival of sound waves in microphone pairs provides initial position estimates. These significantly varying estimates are spatially filtered by an adaptive Kalman filter to obtain a smoothed trajectory of the speaker’s movement. Experimental results with real data are presented for a variety of scenarios recorded in a noisy and reverberant office room environment.

Abstract: The main impairment for location of terminals in wireless communications system is the Non-Line Of Sight (NLOS) condition. This paper presents a robust location tracking architecture for a NLOS situation. It mitigates NLOS error in the raw measurement using biased Kalman filtering. And then, a reckoning mechanism is introduced to Kalman filtering of location estimates. Simulation results demonstrate that, with the novel architecture, the location estimate can be obtained with good accuracy even in severe NLOS propagation conditions.

Abstract: Problems of navigation, tracking moving objects and control of dynamic systems are solved using information about coordinates and motion parameters obtained through means of tracking systems and various sensors including gravi-ty, radio and optical sensors. As the speed of motion is increased, the require-ments to dynamic accuracy of control systems increase as well. Evolution of methods of the theory of optimal control as well as computing technology allows the development of algorithms and technical means of implementing high accuracy navigation systems and high accuracy tracking systems. The method of quadratic B-spline interpolation use in the geophysical fields of marine navigation is described. Using the spline models gives rather acceptable accuracy under concurrently low requirements to the volume of board computer memory and combined with Kalman-type minimax filtering techniques it allows estimation of required accuracy in case when stochastic characteristics of the observed processes and the disturbances of the moving model are uncertain.
