Abstract: Phase behavior, thermal stability and rheological properties of the blends of poly(phthalazinone ether ketone) (PPEK) with bisphenol-A polycarbonate (PC) prepared by solution coprecipitation were studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Frourier-Transform IR spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and capillary rheometer. The DSC results indicated that PPEK/PC blends are almost immiscible in full compositions. FT-IR investigation showed that there were no apparent specific interactions between the constituent polymers. The blends keep excellent thermal stability and the addition of PC degrades the thermal stability of blends to some degree. The thermal degradation processes of the blends are much similar to that of PC. The studies on rheological properties of blends show that blending PPEK with PC is beneficial to reducing the melt viscosity and improving the appearance of PPEK.

Abstract: 选用Ag-35.5Cu-1.8Ti和Ag-27.4Cu-4.4Ti两种钎料,在880℃/10min钎焊规范下进行了Cf/SiC陶瓷基复合材料的钎焊实验。实验结果表明,钎焊接头中央为典型的Ag-Cu共晶组织,而在钎料与Cf/SiC母材的界面处形成了扩散反应层,Ti在该层中富集。通过界面X射线衍射分析,确定界面存在TiC相,但未检测到Ti-Si相。分析了界面反应机理。接头强度试验结果表明,采用Ag-35.5Cu-1.8Ti钎料获得接头的三点弯曲强度为132.5MPa,而Ag-27.4Cu-4.4Ti对应的接头强度为159.5MPa,分析认为,Ti在钎料中的活性是决定接头性能的关键因素之一,即接头强度随着钎料中Ti活性的提高而呈现增加的趋势。

Abstract: We consider canonical metrics on Fano manifolds. First we introduce a norm-type functional on Fano manifolds, which has Kahler-Einstein or Kahler-Ricci soliton as its critical point and the Kahler-Ricci flow can be viewed as its (reduced) gradient flow. We then obtain a natural lower bound of this functional. As an application, we prove that Kahler-Ricci soliton, if exists, maximizes Perelman's $\mu$-functional without extra assumptions. Second we consider a conjecture proposed by S.K. Donaldson in terms of $\cK$-energy. Our simple observation is that $\cF$-functional, as $\cK$-energy, also integrates Futaki invariant. We then restate geodesic stability conjecture on Fano manifolds in terms of $\cF$-functional. Similar pictures can also be extended to Kahler-Ricci soliton and modified $\cF$-functional.

Abstract: 以先驱体浸渍裂解工艺制备了Cf/SiC复合材料,在相同工艺条件下,研究了四种纤维织构2.5D,三维四向,三维五向,三维六向对复合材料结构和性能的影响。研究结果表明,2.5D纤维织构的复合材料,其力学性能优于其它三种织构的复合材料,2.5D织构的复合材料弯曲强度达到了406.25MPa,三维四向织构复合材料弯曲强度只有128.80MPa,三维五向织构复合材料159.74MPa,三维六向织构复合材料150.42MPa,并结合纺织学的结构理论对这种影响进行了剖析。

Abstract: Context. CF+ has recently been detected in the Horsehead and Orion Bar photo-dissociation regions. The J=1-0 line in the Horsehead is double-peaked in contrast to other millimeter lines. The origin of this double-peak profile may be kinematic or spectroscopic. Aims. We investigate the effect of hyperfine interactions due to the fluorine nucleus in CF+ on the rotational transitions. Methods. We compute the fluorine spin rotation constant of CF+ using high-level quantum chemical methods and determine the relative positions and intensities of each hyperfine component. This information is used to fit the theoretical hyperfine components to the observed CF+ line profiles, thereby employing the hyperfine fitting method in GILDAS. Results. The fluorine spin rotation constant of CF+ is 229.2 kHz. This way, the double-peaked CF+ line profiles are well fitted by the hyperfine components predicted by the calculations. The unusually large hyperfine splitting of the CF+ line therefore explains the shape of the lines detected in the Horsehead nebula, without invoking intricate kinematics in the UV-illuminated gas.

Survey of CF mutations in the clinical laboratory

Abstract: DNA from whole blood specimens was extracted and subjected to PCR amplification of 9 exons and 6 introns of the CFTR gene. The resulting amplicons were hybridised to probes for CF mutations and polymorphisms, immobilised on membranes supplied by Roche Molecular Systems, Inc. and Innogenetics, Inc.. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis and sequencing of suspicious fragments indicating mutations were done with CF exon and intron specific primers.Of the 257 persons tested over the last three years (referrals based on 1) clinical symptoms typical for/indicative of CF, 2) indication for in vitro fertilisation, and 3) gene status determination because of anticipated parenthood and partners or relatives affected by CF), the reverse line blots detected heterozygote or homozygote mutations in the CFTR gene in 68 persons (26%). Eighty-three percent of those affected were heterozygous (47 persons) or homozygous (10 persons) for the ΔF508 allele. The only other CF-alleles that we found with these tests were the G542X allele (3 persons), the G551D allele (3 persons), the 3849+10kb C-T allele (2 persons) the R117H allele (2 persons) and the 621+1G-T allele (1 person).Of the fifteen IVS8-5T-polymorphisms detected in intron 8, seven (47%) were found in males referred to us from IVF clinics. These seven 5T-alleles were all coupled with a heterozygous ΔF508 allele, they make up 35% of the males with fertility problems (20 men) referred to us.In summary, the frequency of CF chromosomes in the cohort examined with these tests was 26%, with the ΔF508 allele affecting 83% of the CF chromosomes. It is a substantial improvement for routine CF diagnostics to have available a test system for 30 mutations plus the polypyrimidine length variants in intron 8. Abstract: HCO(3)(-) secretion, which is believed to neutralize acid within the mucus gel, is the most studied duodenal defense mechanism. In general, HCO(3)(-) secretion rate and mucosal injury susceptibility correlate closely. Recent studies suggest that luminal acid can lower intracellular pH (pH(i)) of duodenal epithelial cells and that HCO(3)(-) secretion is unchanged during acid stress. Furthermore, peptic ulcers are rare in cystic fibrosis (CF), although, with impaired HCO(3)(-) secretion, increased ulcer prevalence is predicted, giving rise to the 'CF Paradox'. We thus tested the hypothesis that duodenal epithelial cell protection occurs as the result of pH(i) regulation rather than by neutralization of acid by HCO(3)(-) in the pre-epithelial mucus. Cellular acidification during luminal acid perfusion, and unchanged HCO(3)(-) secretion during acid stress are inconsistent with pre-epithelial acid neutralization by secreted HCO(3)(-). Furthermore, inhibition of HCO(3)(-) secretion by 5-nitro-2-(3-phenylpropylamino) benzoic acid (NPPB) despite preservation of pH(i) and protection from acid-induced injury further question the pre-epithelial acid neutralization hypothesis. This decoupling of HCO(3)(-) secretion and injury susceptibility by NPPB (and possibly by CF) further suggest that cellular buffering, rather than HCO(3)(-) exit into the mucus, is of primary importance for duodenal mucosal protection, and may account for the lack of peptic ulceration in CF patients.

Abstract: In this paper pulsed corona discharge is shown to be effective for the decomposition of CF3Cl(Freon-13).The pressure of CF3Cl was 2.67×103Pa,after discharged for 2 min,39.5% of CF3Cl was decomposed.The products were mainly CF4,Cl2 and CF2Cl2.The yield increased by adding O2 or air.Under the same conditions,more than 94% decomposition yield was obtained if 5.32×103Pa O2 or air was added.The composition of products became CF2O,Cl2 and CF4.While the partial pressure of O2 or air reached 1 arm,the decomposition yield decreased to 54.5% and 48. 5% respectively.
