Abstract: We factorize harmonic maps with values in a semisimple Lie groups in a product of harmonic maps with values in the components of the Iwasawa decomposition. In particular, we use this factorization to study the harmonic maps from $\mathbb{R}^n$ into $SL(2,\mathbb{R})$.

Abstract: We study supersymmetric harmonic maps from the point of view of integrable system. It is well known that harmonic maps from R^2 into a symmetric space are solutions of a integrable system . We show here that the superharmonic maps from R^{2|2} into a symmetric space are solutions of a integrable system, more precisely of a first elliptic integrable system in the sense of C.L. Terng and that we have a Weierstrass-type representation in terms of holomorphic potentials (as well as of meromorphic potentials). In the end of the paper we show that superprimitive maps from R^{2|2} into a 4-symmetric space give us, by restriction to R^2, solutions of the second elliptic system associated to the previous 4-symmetric space.

Abstract: In this paper we find a criterion for the Gauss map of an immersed smooth submanifold in some Lie group with left invariant metric to be harmonic. Using the obtained expression we prove some necessary and sufficient conditions for the harmonicity of this map in the case of totally geodesic submanifolds in Lie groups admitting biinvariant metrics. We show that, depending on the structure of the tangent space of a submanifold, the Gauss map can be harmonic in all biinvariant metrics or non-harmonic in some metric. For 2-step nilpotent groups we prove that the Gauss map of a geodesic is harmonic if and only if it is constant.

Abstract: In this paper we introduce two new methods for constructing harmonic morphisms from solvable Lie groups. The first method yields global solutions from any simply connected nilpotent Lie group and from any Riemannian symmetric space of non-compact type and rank $r\ge 3$. The second method provides us with global solutions from any Damek-Ricci space and many non-compact Riemannian symmetric spaces. We then give a continuous family of 3-dimensional solvable Lie groups not admitting any complex valued harmonic morphisms, not even locally.

Abstract: We consider four dimensional Lie groups with left-invariant Riemannian metrics. For such groups we classify left-invariant conformal foliations with minimal leaves of codimension two. These foliations produce local complex-valued harmonic morphisms.

Abstract: A Lie group $G$ endowed with a left invariant Riemannian metric $g$ is called Riemannian Lie group. Harmonic and biharmonic maps between Riemannian manifolds is an important area of investigation. In this paper, we study different aspects of harmonic and biharmonic homomorphisms between Riemannian Lie groups. We show that this class of biharmonic maps can be used at the first level to build examples but, as we will see through this paper, its study will lead to some interesting mathematical problems in the theory of Riemannian Lie groups.
