Abstract: In the present paper we review recent experimental results from the BaBar experiment concerning the measurement of the CKM angles. A particular highlight is given to the novel independent determination of the angle alpha from B0 -> a_1(1260)+/- pi -/+ and to the recent full-luminosity updates of several angle gamma measurements.

Abstract: Measurements of the CKM parameter $\sin(2 \beta)$ have established $CP$ violation in the $B^0$ meson system arising from the interference between mixing and decay. However, direct CP violation, arising from the interference among different terms in the decay amplitude, had not been observed so far. We report a first observation of direct CP violation in $B^{0} \to K^{+} \pi^{-}$ decays with the BaBar detector. Other selected results based on the search for direct CP violation in several other B decays are also presented.

Abstract: We present direct CP violation measurements using the full BaBar dataset of 471 million BBbar pairs for the following charmless B decays: B0-->rho0Kstar0, B0-->f0Kstar0, B0-->rho-Kstar+ and for the Dalitz plots of B+-->K+K-K+, B+-->KsKsK+ and B0-->KsK+K-.

Abstract: The search for rare B decays and direct CP violation at BABAR is described. The following measurements (based on integrated luminosities ranging from 56.4 to 81.9fb-1) are summarized: the inclusive branching fractions and direct CP asymmetries of B+ to h+h-h+ (h=pi, K), the exclusive branching fractions of B+ to K+pi-pi+ (where significant signals are observed in the B+ to K*0(892)pi+, B+ to f0(980)K+, B+ to chic0 K+, B+ to Dbar0 pi+ and B^+ to higher K*0 pi+ channels), the branching fractions of B+ to rho0rho+ and B+ to rho0 K*+, and finally, the branching fractions, the longitudinal components, and the direct CP asymmetries in B to phi K*.

Abstract: CP-violation (CPV) and Time-reversal violation (TRV) are intimately related through the CPT theorem: if one of these discrete symmetries is violated the other one has to be violated in such a way to conserve CPT. Although CPV in the B0-B0 system has been established by the B-factories, implying indirectly TRV, there is still no direct evidence of TRV. We report on the observation of TRV in the B-meson system performed with a dataset of 468 million BB pairs produced in Y(4S) decays collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. We also report on other CPV measurements recently performed on the B-meson system.

Abstract: The BaBar collaboration has analysed 60M BB_ pairs collected at the Upsilon (4S) resonance at the PEP II asymetric collider at SLAC. Using this data sample we have measured the CP violation parameters sin (2beta)=0.75+/- 0.09 (STAT) +/-0.04 (SYST) and lambda =0.92+/- 0.06 (STAT) +/- 0.02 (SYST) from B0 to cc_+K*0 + c.c. decays. From charmless 2-body B decays we measure A_Kpi =-0.05 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.01(-0.14,+0.05), S_pipi = -0.01 +/- 0.37 +/- 0.07(-0.66,+0.62), C_pipi =-0.02 +/- 0.29 +/- 0.07(-0.54,+0.48). A number of B lifetime and mixing parameters, extracted from subsamples of this data set, are also presented.
Searches for CP violation in charm decays at BABAR  [PDF]

Abstract: In the Standard Model \CP violation in charm decays is expected to be very small, at the level of 0.1% or less. A significant excess of \CP violation with respect to the Standard Model predictions would be a signature of new physics. We report on recent searches for \CP violation in charm meson decays at \babar, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 470 \invfb. In particular, we report on searches for \CPV in the 3-body $\Dp\to\Kp\Km\pip$ decay and for decay modes with a \KS in the final state, such as $\Dp\to\KS\Kp$, $\Ds\to\KS\Kp$, $\Ds\to\KS\pip$. A lifetime ratio analysis of $\Dz\to\Kp\Km, \pip\pim$ with respect to $\Dz\to\Km\pip$ decays, which is sensitive to \Dz-\Dzb mixing and \CP violation, is also presented here.
CP-violation in $b \to s$ Penguin Decays at BaBar  [PDF]

Abstract: We present the new and updated $BABAR$ measurements of CP-violation studies for many $b\to s $ penguin decay modes. We report the first observation of mixing-induced CP-violation in $B^0 \to \eta ^{'} K^0$ with a significance (including systematic uncertainties) of 5.5$\sigma$. We also present the first observation of the decay $B^0 \to \rho ^0 K^0$. Using the time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis of $B^0\to K^+K^- K^0$ decay, the CP-parameters $\mathcal A_{CP}$ and $\beta_{eff}$ are measured with $4.8\sigma$ significance, and we reject the solution near $\pi /2 - \beta_{eff}$ at $4.5\sigma$. We also present the updated measurements of CP-violating parameters for $B^0 \to K_S^0 \pi ^0$, $K_S^0K_S^0K_S^0$ and $\pi ^0 \pi ^0 K_S^0$ decays. An updated measurements of the CP-violating charge asymmetries for $B^{\pm}\to \eta ^{'} K^{\pm}$, $\eta K^{\pm}$, $\omega K^{\pm}$ decays are also presented. The measurements are based on the data sample recorded at the $\Upsilon (4S)$ resonance with $BABAR$ detector at the PEP-II $B$-meson Factory at SLAC.

Abstract: We report on measurements of time-dependent CP-violation asymmetries in neutral B meson decays to charmonium and charm final states. The results are obtained from a data sample of 467+/-5 million Y(4S)->BBbar decays collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II B factory.
