Abstract: With the global non-renewable resources’ shortage and prices rising, Chinese steel enterprises’ production costs continue to grow. On the background of the global iron ore negotiation, the article analyzes the steel enterprise’s vulnerable position in the iron ore negotiations and the influencing factors, and makes appropriate recommendations from the perspective of industry chain integration, in order to improve Chinese steel enterprises’ bargaining power in the iron ore negotiation.

The global steel industry is a highly internationalized industry, globalization strategy is the inevitable choice of Chinese steel enterprises to improve the international competitiveness, and many factors make it feasible for Chinese iron and steel enterprises to implement globalization strategy. This paper made an analysis on the overseas investment opportunities of Chinese steel enterprises from the perspective of globalization strategy, involving the resource-based commodity investment, the establishment of overseas production bases and R&D center, controlling trade channels and building strategic alliance, then sketched out the globalization strategy implementation framework of Chinese iron and steel enterprises.

Abstract: The main goal of this study is to get information about the R&D process and technical innovations of the iron-steel enterprises and to determine to the ways to improve their current status. This study focuses on 49 SMEs enterprises chosen at random, which are among the total 74 enterprises in Iskenderun. The results of this study are that the middle scale enterprises in the sector have been working for domestic/abroad for a long time and that they are present in R&D studies and innovations in order to protect their market shares and their rivalries and that they give importance to produce in a certain level of standard and quality. 10 out of 49 enterprises in the region have R&D unit and there are very few workers in these units, therefore it has been interpreted that the enterprises are insufficient in R&D.

Abstract: The following paper contains importance of LCA in the iron and steel industry. The metallurgy sector is highly energy intensive and the production of crude steel is associated with significant CO2 emissions. ULCOS (Ultra Low CO2 Steelmaking) is the world’s initiative to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50 % by 2 050 compared with today’s best routes from steel production by developing new breakthrough technologies. A new environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method has been undertaken in ULCOS as the most holistic approach of assessing environmental impact and selecting new technologies. Usage of LCA enables to compare alternative metallurgical technologies.

This study addresses the lack of empirical analysis on Taiwanese enterprises operating in China. A questionnaire-based survey was used to assess the business decisions of Taiwanese companies operating in the Chinese cities of Dongguan, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Kunshan. The empirical results indicate that direct input costs and business types have an appreciable impact on the decision of mainland-based Taiwanese enterprises to relocate operations. Additionally, government financing, administrative ability, and improvement in operating costs can effectively reduce the likelihood of market exit by a Taiwanese enterprise.

The pollution of the environment of the agricultural industrialization leading enterprises is a nega- tive problem of the enterprise production and development, which involves many factors. But in terms of governance, we often lose the root points of problem, so as to make the pollution problem more and more serious. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), we give a set of weights of evaluation factors to judge the key factors of the environment pollution which should be emphatically considered. This lays the foundation for information planning of the agriculture industrialization leading enterprise environment management subsystem.

Abstract: In recent years, the enterprises, as the main innovation subject in China, have made high achievements in the field of patent. The influencing factors of the patenting behavior in enterprises have caused the wide attention of many scholars at home and abroad. Based on the institutional theory, this paper focuses on the influencing factors of the patenting behavior in enterprises by the empirical research. The research results indicate that the internal factors are the main factors affecting the patenting behavior while the external factors are the secondary factors; and that the internal and external factors of the enterprises affect the patenting behavior through intermediary, namely the different motivations of employees. At last, this paper puts forward some suggestions for the patenting behavior in enterprises.
