Decision Model for Life Cycle Assessment of Power Transformer during Load Violation

Abstract: Utility have normally planned the power transformer based on its designed load demand for the long term. Due to unexpected penetration, the actual load profile does not always follow the designed load and load violation will occur at some points during the life cycle of the power transformer for which the utility is inevitably required to make strategic decision. In the past, the decisions were mainly focused on the technical condition of the assetwithout any consideration to investment budget limitation. In this paper, an alternative methodology comprising of knowledge based model, financial model and decision criteria is proposed to make an optimal decision during load violation. A generic power system similar to Nepal Electricity Authority’s context was utilized as a case study. The result depicts that this model can effectively assess the life cycle of power transformer balancing both the financialand technical constraints.

Abstract:
Reasonable probability assessment of transformer failure rate (FR) is a critical reference to the transformer replacement work. At present, the lack of support theory for transformer replacement usually causes reliability and economy issues for power companies. For this reason, a transformer replacement decision method based on probability assessment of FR is proposed. Firstly, a first order model of transformer paper degradation is proposed. Then, the Weibull Distribution is used by Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) to generate the variations of Degree of Polymerization (DP) along with time based on the historical data, and the transformer FR is determined. When the FR is higher than a pre-defined threshold value, the transformer should be replaced for reliability purpose. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method for the transformer replacement decision is verified by a typical engineering application.

Abstract: The development of the Information Technology and the large scale use of the modern cutof-the-edge means of electronic communications constitute an undisputable progress of the Knowledge Society and the creation of the new social relations based on these platforms necessitated in time also a change in the Law philosophy. If the communication by electronic means still poses nowadays an attraction for the legal experts and professionals, chiefly for the law enforcement agencies or the intelligence services, another product of science, the location, starts highlighting its benefits but also the legal challenges. The paper aims at presenting the localization of mobile communications devices, both from technical and legal perspectives, with the view to be seen and understood as an Information Society service for the citizens.

Abstract: This paper discusses the metallurgy of some jousting armours, and other aspects of their equipment. Armours for the joust with sharp lances (scharfrennen) were found to be sometimes thinner than armour for the joust of peace (gestech) but these examples were made of better metal. Appendices discuss the textile padding, which was an integral part of the protection offered by jousting armour, and some of the lances employed in the joust. Este artículo analiza la metalurgia de algunos arneses de justa, y otros aspectos del equipo empleado. Las armaduras para la justa con lanzas afiladas (scharfrennen) han resultado ser en ocasiones más delgadas que las empleados para la ‘justa de paz’ (gestech), pero en este caso estaban realizadas con un metal mejor. Los apéndices analizan los acolchados textiles que eran parte integral de la protección que proporcionaba la armadura de justa, y también algunas de las lanzas empleadas.

Abstract: Decision Support Systems in the sense of online alternative course of action (ACAO) development and analysis as well as tools for online Development of Doctrine and Tactics Techniques, and Procedures (DTTP) for support to operations make it possible to evaluate and forecast the command and control processes and the performance capabilities of the friendly and enemy forces and other decision relevant factors, support the military commander (brigade and higher) and his staff in their headquarter by increasing their ability to identify own opportunities, support all phases of the command and control process, use computer based, automatic and closed models, that can be adapted to the current situation. Objective of the paper is to present the results of studies conducted in Germany on behalf of the German Ministry of Defense with the objective to work out the conceptual basis for decision support systems and to evaluate, how this technique will influence the command and control system of the army of the federal armed forces. In addition, international works are considered as well. In this paper, technical and operational requirements are derived and described in detail that have to be met in order to support the warfighter by integrated means of applied Operations Research ranging from simple optimization algorithms to complex simulation federations comprising different systems.

Abstract: Justification is given to a technique of application for standards of an expense of resources on conventional unit of complexity and time expenses for services of livestock technical service with a view of economy of resources. Definition of expenses of working hours assumes preliminary studying and an assessment of methods and ways of performance of work, design of rational production technologies of cattle-breeding production, production and work organization. In the countries with the developed market economy methodological and material base for rationing of work of workers is created. A wide circulation receive methods of linear programming, the multiple-factor regressive analysis, versions of statistical methods for expenses studying. In this research material inputs are defined on standard to forming factors with application of the regressive analysis.
