Abstract: O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a a o de isolados de fungos ectomicorrízicos nativos de S o Francisco de Assis, na produ o de mudas de Eucalyptus grandis Hill ex Maiden, em solo arenoso, na presen a de dois níveis de fósforo. O experimento foi instalado em casa de vegeta o num bifatorial (4 x 2 x 3), três tratamentos de fungos ectomicorrízicos ( FSE– S, F1-RS e Pt Silv.1) e uma testemunha, dois níveis de fósforo (natural ou existente no solo (8 mg.kg-1) e adi o de 30 mg.kg-1 de fósforo), em três repeti es. Avaliaram-se a massa verde da parte aérea e radicial, massa seca da parte aérea, altura de planta, diametro do colo, comprimento e área superficial específica radicial, coloniza o micorrízica e teores de nitrogênio, fósforo e potássio. A adi o de fungos ectomicorrízicos nativos na produ o de mudas apresentou resultados melhores do que os demais tratamentos aplicados, em solo arenoso.

Abstract: El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la influencia de los niveles de sombra en las plántulas de Eucalyptus grandis. Las plántulas fueron sometidas a los siguientes tratamientos: 0%, 18%, 30%, 50% y 70% de atenuación de la radiación solar a través de telas de color negro. El experimento se llevó a cabo en los meses de oto o de 2009 en la en lo vivero municipal de la ciudad de Catanduvas- PR durante un período de 90 días. El dise o experimental fue bloques al azar con cinco tratamientos y cinco repeticiones. La repicage de las plántulas de la semilleira para los tubetes ocurrió treinta días después de la siembra. A los 90 días se evaluó: altura de la parte aérea de las plantas, el número de hojas por planta, el diámetro del cuello, longitud de la raíz, peso fresco y seco de la hoja y cuello de la raíz. Para todas las variables dendrométricas evaluadas el efecto de los tratamientos fue significativo. Para la altura de la parte aérea, los tratamientos de 30 y 50% de sombra fueron superiores a los demás. Ya para el diámetro del cuello y el número de hojas, el tratamiento con pleno sol presento los valores más altos (0,20 y 15,2 g de hojas, respectivamente). Para la variable masa fresca y seca de hojas, cuello y de la raíz el tratamiento con 30% de sombra fue estadísticamente superior a los demás. La atenuación del 30% de la radiación solar ha proporcionado características dendométricas superiores de las plántulas a las variables analizadas para E. grandis. The goal of the work was to assess the influence of shading levels on seedling production of Eucalyptus grandis. The seedlings have been subjected to treatments: 0%; 18%; 30%; 50% and 70% attenuation of solar radiation through screens of polyolefins black coloring. The experiment was performed in autumn 2009 in the city hotbed of Catanduvas – PR, during a period of 90 days. The experiment design was randomized block, with five treatments and five replications. The pricking-out of sowing seedlings for tubes occurred on the 30th day after sowing. At 90 days it was evaluated: shoot height, number of leaves per plant, collar diameter, root length, fresh and dry leaf, root and collar. For all dendrometric variables evaluated, the effect of the treatment was significant. For shoot height, treatments of 30 and 50% shading were higher than the other. Collar diameter and number of sheets, processing the full sun presented the greatest values (0.20 and 15.20, respectively). Abstract: this work studied the effect of treated domestic wastewater derived from a biological treatment system as an alternative to nursery conventional fertirrigation for eucalyptus grandis seedling production. the evaluated variables were: height, basal diameter, shoot and roots dry weight, plant total leaf area, shoot/root ratio and leaf nutritional status of the seedlings. greater development of seedlings was found when mineral fertilizers were used, but root/shoot ratio was greater when wastewater was used. the results showed that wastewater can be used as an alternative for conventional mineral fertirrigation, considering that all plants grew, without showing any nutritional deficiency or toxicity symptoms. seedlings fertirrigated with wastewater, however, spend more time in the nursery, when compared to those produced with mineral fertilizers.

Abstract: the objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of textile silt, seasoning and irrigation with wastewater from swine activities on the production of eucalyptus seedlings w, hill ex maiden. the treatments were constituted by three factors: chemical manuring (0; 1 and 2 grams of npk 14-14 by tube), irrigation (water and remaining wastewater from swine) and substratum with five levels of fraction of the textile silt and commercial substratum (0; 25; 50; 75 and 100%). four periods were evaluated during the production (germination, 21 days), (50% shadowing, 40 days), (18% shadowing, 20 days) and (full sun, 9 days) with a total of 90 days of production. the irrigation was performed by aspersion, with 12 mm day-1. the agronomic parameters evaluated were height (h), diameter (d) and the relation height/diameter (h/d) of the plants. the experimental delineation used was entirely casual on a factorial scheme with 39 repetitions per treatment. the results obtained allowed to conclude that the chemical season propitiated effect on the plants heights on the last production periods. the substratum factor presented itself on the negative form when used in 100% of the textile silt. the wastewater from swine culture presented the best results for the samples at diameter and at height. using the parameter of the height/diameter relation to evaluate the samples, the remaining wastewater propitiated an anticipation of 30 days on the eucalyptus production.

Abstract: Este trabalho objetivou avaliar o efeito de diferentes inóculos e mistura de inóculos de fungos ectomicorrízicos sobre a produ o de mudas de eucalipto em solo arenoso. O experimento foi desenvolvido em casa de vegeta o. Os tratamentos foram quatro isolados e quatro mistura de inóculo de fungos ectomicorrízicos. Utilizou-se solo sob processo de areniza o, coletado no município de S o Francisco de Assis – RS. Avaliou-se a massa da parte aérea e radicular verde, massa da parte aérea seca, altura de planta, diametro do colo, comprimento e área superficial específica radicular, coloniza o micorrízica e teores de nitrogênio, fósforo e potássio. Os resultados mostraram que o isolado F2-RS (Pisolithus sp.) proporcionou os maiores incrementos no desenvolvimento das mudas de eucalipto. A mistura de inóculos de fungos pode ser utilizada desde que se tenha um prévio conhecimento do efeito isolado do fungo.

Abstract: The aim of this work was to evaluate the vermicompost efficiency in the seedlings of two eucalyptus species production. The experiment was developed in greenhouse conditions, substrate constituted by different vermicompost proportions and peat for the E. grandis and C. citriodora seedling production. The experimental design was entirely casualized with seven treatments and eight repetitions. After 100 days of experiment were evaluated: seedling height, fresh and dry biomass of aerial part, root volume, dry biomass of the root and Dickson quality index (DQI). The treatment constituted by 80% vermicompost and 20% peat presented the highest results in height, root volume and dry mass of the aerial part and roots. For the species C. citriodora was observed that the vermicompost addition to the peat in the proportions from 40% to 80% was shown efficient in the seedlings growth. The treatment constituted by 80% vermicompost and 20% peat provided highest height and dry mass of the aerial part seedlings and the treatment constituted by 60% vermicompost and 40% peat provided highest root volume. The proportions 60% and 80% vermicompost added to the peat increase the E. grandis and C. citriodora seedlings production. doi: 10.4336/2011.pfb.31.66.75 Avaliou-se a eficiência do vermicomposto na produ o de mudas de duas espécies de eucalipto. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegeta o, utilizando-se substratos constituídos por diferentes propor es de vermicomposto e turfa para a produ o de mudas de E. grandis e C. citriodora. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado com sete tratamentos e oito repeti es. Decorridos 100 dias após sua implanta o, avaliaram-se os parametros: altura da planta, biomassa da parte aérea fresca e seca, volume radicular, biomassa das raízes secas e o índice de qualidade de Dickson (IQD). O tratamento constituído por 80% de vermicomposto apresentou os melhores resultados nos parametros altura das mudas, volume radicular e biomassa seca da parte aérea e de raízes. Para a espécie C. citriodora, a adi o de vermicomposto à turfa nas propor es de 40% a 80% mostrou-se eficiente no crescimento das mudas, sendo que a primeira propor o proporcionou maior altura e massa seca da parte aérea das mudas, e a segunda, maior volume radicular. As propor es 60% e 80% de vermicomposto adicionadas à turfa favorecem a produ o de mudas de E. grandis e C. citriodora. doi: 10.4336/2011.pfb.31.66.75

Abstract: O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a influência da camada de impedimento no solo, sobre a sobrevivência e o crescimento em diametro a altura do peito e altura de plantas de Eucalyptus grandis (Hill) ex. Maiden. Os tratamentos de preparo do solo foram solo subsolado (T1) e n o subsolado (T2). Após 12, 24, 36 e 43 meses do plantio, os resultados indicaram haver uma diferen a positiva, em todas as variáveis medidas, em prol das mudas plantadas em área subsolada, embora, estatisticamente, n o tenha havido diferen a significativa entre os tratamentos.

Abstract: three levels of phosphorus (0.0, 16.0 and 32,0 ppm), boron (0.0, 2.0 and 4.0 ppm), zinc (0.0, 3.0 and 6.0 ppm) and two levels of lime (0.0 and 6.0 gr. caco3+2.5gr,mgco3) were applied to 8.0 kg of an orthorx soil, originated from a "cerrado" area from itirapina (sp), brazil. a factorial experiment, consisting of 33 x 2 with two replications was conducted in a green-house at piracicaba (sp), brazil. the application of boron and zinc increased the concentration of these elements in the plant tissues. the application of 2.0 ppm and 4.0 ppm of boron to the soil was toxic for the eucalyptus plants. the application of lime decreased the concentration of zinc, in the plant tissues.

Abstract: an infestation of the red spider mite was reported in clone seedlings of eucalyptus grandis hill ex maiden under greenhouse conditions, in the municipality of martinho campos, minas gerais state. the spider mite was found on the leaf upper faces with signs of sap suction and bronzing. such injuries caused abnormal development and plant death. the spider mite was identified as oligonychus yothersi (mcgregor) (acari: tetranychidae). this is the first record of o. yothersi on e. grandis seedlings in brazil.
