Abstract: The sales and buying of certain goods peculiar to the city should be taken into consideration when social and economic activities of a certain period of a city are studied. As the study on the real estate sales in buying and selling goods indicate the power of man to buy, it will also provide valuable information in determining the classes and the rate of localization within the city. All sorts of real estate sales in Ayntab in XVII. Century are dealt with and currency, types of sales, features determining the sales, and units of measurement are the main issues of this study.

Abstract: We have studied the atoll source 4U 1608-52 using a large data set obtained with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer. We find that the timing properties of 4U 1608-52 are almost exactly identical to those of the atoll sources 4U 0614+09 and 4U 1728-34 despite the fact that contrary to these sources 4U 1608-52 is a transient covering two orders of magnitude in luminosity. The frequencies of the variability components of these three sources follow a universal scheme when plotted versus the frequency of the upper kilohertz QPO, suggesting a very similar accretion flow configuration. If we plot the Z sources on this scheme only the lower kilohertz QPO and HBO follow identical relations. Using the mutual relations between the frequencies of the variability components we tested several models; the transition layer model, the sonic point beat frequency model, and the relativistic precession model. None of these models described the data satisfactory. Recently, it has been suggested that the atoll sources (among them 4U 1608-52) trace out similar three-branch patterns as the Z sources in the color-color diagram. We have studied the relation between the power spectral properties and the position of 4U 1608-52 in the color-color diagram and conclude that the timing behavior is not consistent with the idea that 4U 1608-52 traces out a three-branched Z shape in the color-color diagram along which the timing properties vary gradually, as Z sources do.

Abstract: The isothermal section of the W-Ni-Cu ternary system at 1017℃ was determined by meansof diffusion couple specimens,EMPA and X-ray diffraction.Body-centeredtetragonal Ni_4W and orthorhombic NiW but no NiW_2 observed in the W-Ni binary sys-tem at this temperature.The solubility ranges of W and Cu in Ni_4W are 16.95-20.51 at.-% and 0-4.36 at.-%,respectively.The maximum solubility of W in γ(Ni) is13.11 at.-%.

Abstract: 采用扩散偶试样,借助电子探针、X射线衍射等分析方法,测定了W-Ni-Cu三元系1017℃等温截面。在该温度下,W-Ni二元系存在体心四方结构的Ni_4W和正交结构的NiW,没有观察到NiW_2。钨在Ni_4W中的固溶度范围为16.95—20.51at.-%(39.00—44.70wt-%),Cu在Ni_4W中的固溶度范围为0—4.36at.-%(3.40wt-%).钨在γ(Ni)固溶体中的最大固溶度为13.11at.-% (32.10wt-%).

Abstract: We have studied the spectral and timing behaviour of the atoll source 4U 1608-52. We find that the timing behaviour of 4U 1608-52 is almost identical to that of the atoll sources 4U 0614+09 and 4U 1728-34. Recently Muno, Remillard & Chakrabarty (2002) and Gierlinski & Done (2002) suggested that the atoll sources trace out similar three-branch patterns as the Z sources. The timing behaviour is not consistent with the idea that 4U 1608-52 traces out a three-branched Z shape in the color-color diagram along which the timing properties vary gradually.

Abstract: We present results of RXTE observations of the low-mass X-ray binary and atoll source 4U 1608$-$52 made over 9 days during the decline of an X-ray intensity outburst in March 1996. A fast-timing analysis shows a strong and narrow quasi periodic oscillation (QPO) peak at frequencies between 850 and 890 Hz on March 3 and 6, and a broad peak around 690 Hz on March 9. Observations on March 12 show no significant signal. On March 3, the X-ray spectrum of the QPO is quite hard; its strength increases steadily from 5 \% at $\sim$2 to $\sim$20 \% at $\sim$12~keV. The QPO frequency varies between 850 and 890 Hz on that day, and the peak widens and its rms decreases with centroid frequency in a way very similar to the well-known horizontal branch oscillations (HBO) in Z-sources. We apply the HBO beat frequency model to atoll sources, and suggest that, whereas the model could produce QPOs at the observed frequencies, the lack of correlation we observe between QPO properties and X-ray count rate is hard to reconcile with this model.
The depth of maximum shower development and its fluctuations: cosmic ray mass composition at E0≥1017 eV

Abstract: We present new data on Cherenkov light observations obtained during 1994–2009 period, after a modernization of the Yakutsk EAS array. A complex analysis of xmax and its fluctuations σ(xmax) was performed in a wide energy range. With the new data, according to QGSJet II model, an estimation was made of cosmic rays mass composition for E0~1017–3×1019 eV. The result points towards a mixed composition with a large portion of heavy nuclei at E0~1017 eV and the dominance of light nuclei at E0~1019 eV. The analysis of σxmax energy dependence for the same energies qualitatively confirms this result. A shape of xmax distribution at fixed energy 1018 eV is analysed to make more precise conclusion on cosmic ray mass composition.

Abstract: We present a refined gravitational lens model of the four-image lens system B1608+656 based on new and improved observational constraints: (i) the three independent time-delays and flux-ratios from VLA observations, (ii) the radio-image positions from VLBA observations, (iii) the shape of the deconvolved Einstein Ring from optical and infrared HST images, (iv) the extinction-corrected lens-galaxy centroids and structural parameters, and (v) a stellar velocity dispersion, sigma_ap=247+-35 km/s, of the primary lens galaxy (G1), obtained from an echelle spectrum taken with the Keck--II telescope. The lens mass model consists of two elliptical mass distributions with power-law density profiles and an external shear, totaling 22 free parameters, including the density slopes which are the key parameters to determine the value of H_0 from lens time delays. This has required the development of a new lens code that is highly optimized for speed. The minimum-chi^2 model reproduces all observations very well, including the stellar velocity dispersion and the shape of the Einstein Ring. A combined gravitational-lens and stellar dynamical analysis leads to a value of the Hubble Constant of H_0=75(+7/-6) km/s/Mpc (68 percent CL; Omega_m=0.3, Omega_Lambda=0.7. The non-linear error analysis includes correlations between all free parameters, in particular the density slopes of G1 and G2, yielding an accurate determination of the random error on H_0. The lens galaxy G1 is ~5 times more massive than the secondary lens galaxy (G2), and has a mass density slope of gamma_G1=2.03(+0.14/-0.14) +- 0.03 (68 percent CL) for rho~r^-gamma', very close to isothermal (gamma'=2). Abstract: We report RXTE/PCA observations of 4U 1608-52 on March 15, 18 and 22 immediately after the outburst in early 1996. The persistent count rates ranged from 190 to 450 cps (1-60 keV). During this period of time, 4U 1608-52 was in the island state. We detected QPO features in the power density spectra (PDS) at 567-800 Hz on March 15 and 22, with source fractional root-mean-square (rms) amplitude of 13%-17% and widths of 78-180 Hz. The average rms amplitude of these QPO features is positively correlated with the energy. Our results imply that the neutron star spin frequency is possibly between 300 Hz and 365 Hz.

Abstract: The three-month budget of the Cyprus state for 18 March-14 June 1608 is present on the 2-5 pages of the account book with TT code and 0708 item no classified as Title Deed Written Books in the Prime Ministry’s Ottoman Archives. This budget which was prepared by Mustafa Pasha, Cyprus governor, and Ali Efendi, Cyprus Treasury official, gives information about the incomes and expenses of Cyprus State.According to the budget, the incomes of Cyprus Budget is 4.544.320 mites. The expenses from this budget is 2.016.092 mites with a residual of 2.473.146 mites. That means there was a surplus in the budget. It was reported by the treasury official that 2.302.316 mites of this surplus was sent to Istanbul, and 170.830 mites of it was appropriated to the salaries of various military officials working in Cyprus state.
