Abstract: A Web Service is a self-contained software component that reflects the Service-Oriented Architectural(SOA)approach,enabling cross-platform integration by standard Web-based protocols.While an Agent is an intelligent software entity that is capable of independent action providing controlled access to shared services and resources.Web Services share many similarities to Multi-Agent System(MAS)in architecture,paradigm and technology.The trustworthiness is a key issue in the tremendous growth of Web Services.And collaborative distributed test for Web Services becomes a great challenge.This paper is going to discuss the commonness of Web Services and Agent,and briefly summarize how Agent can be utilized to add value to Web Services,which promotes cross-fertilization of techniques between these two areas.Due to the open,dynamic and collaborative nature of Web Service test,regarding the autonomy,reactivity,pro-activity and social ability of Agent,this paper proposes a Multi-Agent based Service Testing(MAST)framework,and discuss its key technology.

Abstract: A mobile agent is a program that is not bound to the system on which it began execution, but rather travels amongst the hosts in the network with its code and current execution state (i.e. Distributed Environment).The implementation of distributed applications can be based on a multiplicity of technologies, e.g. plain sockets, Remote Procedure Call (RPC), Remote Method Invocation (RMI), Java Message Service (JMS), .NET Remoting, or Web Services. These technologies differ widely in complexity, interoperability, standardization, and ease of use. The Mobile Agent technology is emerging as an alternative to build a smart generation of highly distributed systems. In this work, we investigate the performance aspect of agent-based technologies for information retrieval. We present a comparative performance evaluation model of Mobile Agents versus .Net remoting by means of an analytical approach. A quantitative measurements are performed to compare .Net remoting and mobile agents using communication time, code size (agent code), Data size, number of node as performance parameters in this research work. The results depict that Mobile Agent paradigm offers a superior performance compared to .Net remoting paradigm, offers fast computational speed; procure lower invocation cost by making local invocations instead of remote invocations over the network, thereby reducing network bandwidth.

Abstract: Agent technology is a very emerging field of research. Various classes of agents (e.g. intelligent agents, software agents) have emerged so far. Software Agents including Mobile Agents are useful for Distributed Systems & Electronic Commerce. E-Commerce and M-Commerce can help a company or enterprise to extend its market place to unlimited region. With the increasing market of Electronic Commerce it becomes an interesting aspect to use autonomous Mobile Agents (MAs) for Electronic Business transactions.Since, various components of E-business can be represented by Software Agent/ Mobile Agents it can be viewed as a multiagent environment. To fully deploy agents in multi-agent environment require addressing number of challenging issues like Security, Fault Tolerance, Location Management and Privacy of both agents and executing environment. However, scope of this paper is limited to security of mobile agents in a multi-agent environment for Electronic Business applications.Security is focused mainly on protection and security of agents and its runtime environment, but most of the currently available mobile agent systems do not support comprehensive security requirements for a general Mobile Agents paradigm. Therefore, there is a need for a complete and comprehensive security infrastructure for mobile agents, not only in the form of security services and mechanisms for agents runtime execution, but also as a complete set of infrastructural components along with methodology for creation, classification, adoption, and validation of Mobile agents, before their deployment in realenvironment.This paper studies the various security solutions proposed by researchers for Mobile Agents in Multi Agent environment for Electronic business applications and analyze then on the basis of various parameters such as performance, requirements and complexity

Abstract: Using Web Services is a new pattern of current Web applications. Abstract: The Multi Agent Systems are a paradigm of the most promising technology in the development of distributed software systems. They include the mechanisms and functions required to support interaction, communication and coordination between the various components of such a system. In the context of distributed test the activity of the test is performed by a set of parallel testers called PTCs (Parallel Test Components). The difficulty is in writing communication procedures of coordination and cooperation between the PTCS. In this context, we combine in this paper adaptable mobile agent with multi-agent systems technology to enhance the distributed test. The objective of this work is to eventually have a platform for compliance testing of distributed applications.

Abstract: Mobile agent is a new kind of network computing paradigm in the field of distributed computing. Because of its distinguished advantages, such as asynchrony,autonomy,mobility,mobile agent is likely to become the dominant approach in network applications. However,with the popu1arity of mobile agent technology,more and more challenges come from those possible security threats in mobile agent systems. Starting from a detailed analysis of these security threats on mobile agent systems,we describe and compare the primary countermeasures for mobile agent security. Some representative mobile agent systems are introduced and their security mechanisms are evaluated.

Abstract: In this paper we present successively the proposition and the design of: 1) {\mu}-tools adapted to collaborative activity of design, and 2) a multi-agent platform adapted to innovative and distributed design of products or services. This platform called PLACID (innovating and distributed design platform) must support applications of assistance to actors implies in a design process that we have called {\mu}-tools. {\mu}-tools are developed with an aim of bringing assistance to Co-design. The use of the paradigm agent as well relates to the modeling and the development of various layers of the platform, that those of the human-computer interfaces. With these objectives, constraints are added to facilitate the integration of new co-operative tools.
