Abstract: Since the magnetic fields caused by currents of the three windings (power winding, control winding and rotor winding) of brushless doubly-fed wind generator (BDFWG) interact one another in electric machine space, and the complex coupling relation among the windings exists, consequently, BDFWG model has the nature of high dimensions. It is important to reduce the order by making use of the characteristic of multi-time scale of BDFWG, either for operation analysis or for power regulation of BDFWG. In this paper, the nature of multi-time scale of BDFWG is discussed and the relevant singular perturbed model with three-time scale is built. The model of BDFWG derived in the paper lays the theoretical foundation for order reduction of BDFWG.

Abstract: 为了环境的可持续发展,世界各国越来越重视新能源的开发与利用。风能就是其中一种被广泛关注并开发的新能源。在风能资源的开发中,离网型垂直轴风力发电机正逐渐成为研究的热点之一。在研制、设计垂直轴风力发电机的过程中,需要开发相应的测试系统来提供试验数据参考,便于风力发电机的进一步研制。本测试系统基于虚拟仪器是针对某型垂直轴无刷直流发电机组而设计的。本系统能够对该垂直轴风力发电机组的风轮特性进行测试,测试时利用无刷直流电机的特性,测试出多种不同工况下的风轮特性曲线,即转速与风轮的机械功率之间的关系曲线。设计者通过该曲线既可以选择最佳的设计工况,也可以确定切入风速的大小。
In order to achieve the sustainable development of energy and environment, almost every country pops into development of new energy resource. Wind power is one of new energy resource, which has been an advanced subject paid close attention extensively. And off-grid the vertical axis wind turbine system is becoming one of hot issuse of wind turbine system researching. In researching vertical axis wind turbine system, researcher needs a testing system supplying the data of experiment to get a new level. The testing system is desgined for a vertical axis wind brushless dc generator. The system could test the of wind tubine perfomance of the vertical axis wind brushless dc generator, and it could get many wind turbine perfomance curves which is the relationship curve between rotated speed and the mechanical power in different conditons. The designer could choose the best design plans and the cut-in wind speed by these curves.

Abstract: Power converter used in doubly-fed wind generator system must possess the capability of bi-directional power flow. Both AC/DC/AC converter and AC/AC Matrix converter(MC) possess this capability, but MC can provide sinusoidal input current and output voltage simultaneously, and the phase of input current can be adjusted to lead, to lag or to coincide with the phase of the input voltage. The magnitude and frequency of the output voltage and the input power factor can be independently adjusted in MC. MC is used to control the voltage magnitude and frequency in the control winding of brushless doubly-fed machine(BDFM), in order to supply excitation for wind generator system. The model reference fuzzy adaptive control strategy is used to control the ratio of voltage versus frequency to regulate the machine rotor speed and power factor. Digital signal processor(DSP) and complex programable logic device(CPLD) are used to construct a MC experiment excitation system based on four-step commutation strategy. The validity, feasibility and stability of the system design are proved by simulation and experimental research. MC is advantageous to practical applications in the future.

Abstract: The stability analysis and control of brushless doubly-fed wind generator is extremely complex due to its multi-time scale nature and high dimensionality. In order to carry out the stability analysis in control design, a common practice is to neglect the very fast transients. However, under what conditions the fast dynamics of brushless doubly-fed wind generator can be neglected is still an important theoretical question to be answered. Based on physical circuit of brushless doubly-fed wind generator including the fast and slow dynamics, the conditions of reducing model order are studied in this paper. The research shows that the result is reasonable and feasible under some acceptable conditions, without causing qualitative error. The conclusions presented in this paper have significance in model reduction and power regulation for brushless doubly-fed wind generator.

This paper describes a real-time status evaluation model for offshore direct-drive wind turbines. This model integrates the correlation coefficient method, deterioration analyses and fuzzy synthetic evaluation. The correlation coefficient method determines the weights of various indexes. The deterioration analysis normalizes the indicator parameters. The bottom-up, step-by-step, multi-level fuzzy synthetic evaluation method assesses the status of each subsystem of the offshore direct-drive wind turbine. An analysis of online inspection data for a direct-drive wind turbine shows that the model results are consistent with real operational data. This model is helpful for managing routine operations and maintenance for offshore direct-drive wind turbines to improve the operational efficiency of offshore wind farms.

Abstract: The criteria as well as the methods and measurements of wind tunnel simulation on wind effects on air-cooled condensers in a large power plant were discussed. The parameter of re-circulation was suggested to describe the wind effects on the efficiency of the condenser. Result of a practical engineering models show that great wind effects of both wind speed and the angle of the incident flow on the efficiency of the condenser. It is recommended that at the initial stage of a new or an extension power plant which is equipped with an air-cooled system, the wind tunnel simulation is necessary and helpful. Combined with the local wind climate data, a cost-effective and safe design of a power plant could be achieved.
