Santiago, Homero;

Abstract: in merleau-ponty?s reflections on classical ontology and his understanding of being (particularly in le visible et l?invisible) one can discern some issues which approximate his philosophy to that of spinoza?s. by showing that, i hope to establish at least the convenience of an investigation about the relationship between the ideas of the two philosophers.
Carne e espelho em Merleau-Ponty
Emmanuel de Saint Aubert
DoisPontos , 2012,
Abstract: Interwoven with natural structurations and personal history, the flesh, in Merleau-Ponty’s gradually-forged conception, is nourished by the combined influences of neurology, Gestaltpsychology and psychoanalysis. This triple influence undergirds a recurring theme in his later writings: the mirror. "The flesh is a mirror phenomenon," Merleau-Ponty tells us. The unpublished manuscripts reveal that this famous clause refers neither directly to Husserl, nor to Wallon and Lacan, but is driven by contemporary readings of Paul Schilder and Wolfgang Metzger, who study the phenomena of distanciated migrations of the body-image in vision. The mirror mingles objective body with phenomenal body, in an effective community between my lived body and its external image. It shows how the flesh lives both within and outside of itself, animated by an essential incompleteness that engages perception in a process of incorporation and, thus, hints at intercorporeity.

Estrutura e subjetividade no último Merleau-Ponty
Reinaldo Furlan
DoisPontos , 2008,
Abstract: The text approaches some central notions in the studies Merleau-Ponty carried out in his courses in the Collège de France between the years of 1954 and 1960. It deals with the passage from animality to the human body and, as important as stressing the differences between the two, it tries to show their Ineinander, one into the other, or a common belonging. Then, it highlights the notions of institution and of unconscious: with the first the philosopher learns how to overcome the limits of the notion of consciousness; with the latter the author both distinguishes his notion from Lévi-Strauss’ and intensifies the debate with freudism.

A estrutura do sentido: Goldstein e Merleau-Ponty The structure of sense: Goldstein and Merleau-Ponty
Claudinei Aparecido de Freitas da Silva
Trans/Form/A??o , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/s0101-31732012000300008
To reactivate a more profound alliance between psychology and philosophy, Merleau-Ponty revisits the clinical work of Kurt Goldstein (1878-1965), recalling, in particular, its phenomenological contributions. The notions of "structure" (Gestalt) and "sense" are here used the search for a more integral understanding of behavior, life and language. Goldstein achieves this by studying different language disturbances, in contrast to essentially causal intellectualist and empiricist theories. To reconstitute this critical inventory, Merleau-Ponty observes the original, dynamic and, above all, ontological character of Godstein's proposals.
Sujeito perceptivo e mundo em Merleau-Ponty
Marcus Sacrini A. Ferraz
DoisPontos , 2008,
Abstract: In this article, we intend to show how Merleau-Ponty’s conception of the relations between the perceptual subject and the world changes in his works. In his book Phenomenology of Perception, published in 1945, Merleau-Ponty ascribes to such subject the capacity of adequately grasping the being of the world. However, in the beginning of the fifties, his analysis of psychologist Kurt Koffka’s works makes explicit some results which are incompatible with the ascription of such capacity to the subject. Finally, in The Visible and the Invisible (the philosopher’s final text, written during 1959-1961 and published posthumously), Merleau-Ponty acknowledges that the capacities of perceptually grasping the being of the world have limitations.

Merleau-Ponty e a “filosofia da consciência”
Luiz Damon Santos Moutinho
DoisPontos , 2012,
Abstract: This paper constitutes the initial presentation of a comprehensive interpretation of Merleau-Ponty's work. It is essentially critical, as we only discuss here the views of Carlos Alberto Ribeiro de Moura and Renaud Barbaras, which, their differences notwithstanding, agree in the diagnosis that Merleau-Ponty brought about a "philosophy of conscience". We intend to point out aspects of their interpretations which strike us as insufficient and partial.
Corpo, percep??o e conhecimento em Merleau-Ponty
Nóbrega, Terezinha Petrucia da;
Estudos de Psicologia (Natal) , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-294X2008000200006
Abstract: based on studies of the science of his time, merleau-ponty questions about the analysis on the nervous system and the classical postulates on the conduct of the electrical impulse, about the reflect circuit, involving stimulation and response, about the perceptual field and about the question of brain location, being insufficient to match point, like the atomist tradition use to defend, among the exciting, the brain map and the reaction. this review leads to a new understanding of perception that is closer to the contemporary cognitive science. this article, a result of theoretical study on the phenomenology of merleau-ponty, aims to present this review on the conceptual understanding, dialogue with the art and science, setting notions and concepts around a phenomenology of knowledge.
