Validation and Calculation of the Coordination Degree of Interactive Relationships in the Marine Eco-Economic System

Abstract: With large-scale exploitation of marine resources and expansion of the development of marine industries,marine ecosystem health is severely affected.This study was aimed to expound an internal relationship,spatial and temporal evolution rules of China’s marine eco-economic system,and build a mechanism of coordinated development for the marine eco-economic system.In order to realize these goals,the ecological footprint method,measurement capacity and sustainable development model were jointly used to build a state evaluation index system.The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),entropy method,and multi-objective decision-making power coefficient method were employed to determine the weights of the evaluation index system.Subsequently,the coercion interactive theory and non-linear regression model were applied to fit dynamic curves of spatial and temporal evolution of three sub-systems,i.e.,ecology,economy,and society,for 11 coastal provinces in China during the period 2000-2009.It was found that logarithmic curve interactions existed in both space and time between the marine economic and marine social subsystems.Inverted"U"curve relationships existed between marine ecology and marine economic sub-systems.Double-exponential curve relationships existed between marine ecology and marine social sub-systems.The coupled model was applied to calculate the degree of spatial and temporal coordination of the three sub-systems,resulting in fitting curves and trends in coordination degree development which appears to be able to reflect the reality of the marine eco-economic system in 11 study coastal provinces and cities.The interactive coordination degrees among marine ecological,economic,and social sub-systems were generally in line with an"S" shape.Because of high dependence on marine resources and the environment,some coastal provinces and cities are currently under a deteriorated condition of marine ecological systems.

Abstract: With the proposal to build the Blue Economic Zone of Shandong Peninsula, the marine economy of Shandong Peninsula comes into a new stage. Comprehensively adopting means of correlation analysis, contribution analysis, trend analysis, etc., the thesis conducts a all-around evaluation of the major marine industries of Shandong Peninsul, defines the leading marine industries of Blue Economic Zone of Shandong Peninsula, and then maps out the developmental direction and key point of the leading lending industries such as coastal tourism, marine transportation, marine fishery, shipbuilding and ship repairing, marine oil and gas industry, and marine high-tech industries.

Abstract: Economic development of any nation is totally depends on industries. Industries play an important role in the Indian Economy. Without industries, economic development is not possible. A growing industrial sector is crucial to greater economic development and takes in a number of areas as a country develops. Ensuring steady industrial growth helps to compliment and sustain continued economic development. Awell developed industrial sector, covering various different areas is vital to the economic development of a country. With a variety of different industrial sectors that feed off each other, a well balanced industrial sector is at the centre of economic development. With a strong industrial base, economic planning becomes less risky, being able to plan ahead also assists industrial growth with profits re-invested into infrastructure development which in turn helps to boost and attract industry.In a backward and developing economy like India,industries are indispensable.Development of industries is not only indispensable for India, but there is also good scope for the development of industries in India. India has many favourable factors for the development of industries.
A Study on Determinning Marine Leading Industries for Liaoning Province

Abstract: The dominant industry is the core of an entire industrial system for a country or a region because it shows fundamental advantages possessed by a region and leads and drives the improvement to the industrial structure and economic development. The marine industry is referred to the combination of all production and living activities formed in processes of human exploration and utilization of marine resources and development of marine economy. The marine leading industry in marine economy can thus be identified by investigating the definition and connotation of the leading industry in the national economic structure. In the present work, the authors examined the resource base, the priority and status of marine industry in China, the development and structure characteristics, and the spatial distributions of marine industry in Liaoning province. Results indicated that dominant marine industries in Liaoning province were not only increasing with time, but also showing a trend in a relatively even spatial distribution. The shift-share method (SSM) and principal component analysis were employed to identify the leading marine industry. SSM has the ability to quantify advantages of a variety of marine sectors and to measure their competitiveness respectively. Also, the PCA can identify marine sectors with a highly comprehensive strength. It was found that aquiculture, coastal tourism and shipbuilding were considered top three leading industries in terms of their respective comprehensive strengths. Based on the integrated analysis of the results derived from the two methods, we identified fishery, coastal tourism, shipbuilding and marine transportation as the leading marine sectors in Liaoning province. In the end, it was suggested the direction and key points of the development and potential spatial distributions of dominant marine industries in Liaoning province. Some suggestions are given as follows, i.e., optimizing the industrial structure further and developing new marine sectors to provide the potential for future development of marine industries in Liaoning province. It was drawn the conclusion that the dominant industry tends to drive economic development and structural update. The dominant industry could vary with time for a specific region, and it would be effective to incorporate quantitative and qualitative methods in identifying dominant industries for similar studies.

Abstract: Developing marine economy and protecting marine environment has become a strategic problem that has relation to the survival and development of coastal countries. With the rapid economic development of coastal areas, the problems in marine ecological environment are becoming more and more obvious. So we should energetically develop marine economy, and strengthen the protection of marine environment and marine ecosystem so as to guarantee the sustainable development of marine economy. Meanwhile, we should insist on scientific development concept, make scientific programming in marine development, implement integrated management, and promote the construction of legal system. Besides, we should vigorously develop marine science and technology, implement the strategy of “prospering marine economy through science and technology”, and realize the “four changes”.

Abstract: Measures to encourage development of Eco-industries represent an important part of the programs of many countries; analyses of different international organisms reveal a series of advantages of this sector for economy. According to OCDE “The environmental goods and services industry consists of activities which produce goods and services to measure, prevent, limit, minimize or correct environmental damage to water, air and soil, as well as problems related to waste, noise and Eco-systems”. The paper analyses the advantages of Eco-industry and based on environmental expenditure is made an estimation of Eco-industry development potential in Romania. In the second part of paper are presents the main action for promotion of Eco-industry in EU and Romania.

Abstract: The purposes of this study are 1) to get another perspective related to the role of creative industries in national economy of Japan from 1995-2005 and 2) to know the ways to improve these sectors. This study employs Input-Output (IO) analysis as a tool of analysis. More specifically, this study uses simple output multipliers and demand-pull IO quantity model. Comparison with previous study is conducted in order to achieve the first objective. Another perspective related to above role is obtained from this study, namely creative industries, using simple output multipliers method, did not have an important role in national economy of Japan in analysis period. The results also show that the patterns of total output of creative industries of Japan on future period are not identic. Nevertheless, these sectors have one similarity, namely the modification of import will decrease their total output. This phenomenon indicates that import restriction related to these sector’s products is needed.
Ecological misunderstanding,integrative approach,and potential industries in circular economy transition

Abstract: Based on the Social-Economic-Natural Complex Ecosystem theory, this paper questioned 8 kinds of misunderstandings in current planning, incubation, development, and management of circular economy, which had led to either ultra-right or ultra-left actions in ecological and economic development. Rather than concentrated only on the 3-r micro-principles of "reduce-reuse-recycle", thise paper suggested 3-R macro-principles of "Rethinking-Reform-Refunction" for circular economy development. Nine kinds of eco-integrative strategies in industrial transition were put forward, i.e., food web-based horizontal/parallel coupling, life cycle-oriented vertical/serial coupling, functional service rather than products-oriented production, flexible and adaptive structure, ecosystem-based regional coupling, social integrity, comprehensive capacity building, employment enhancement, and respecting human dignity. Ten promising potential eco-industries in China's near-future circular economy development were proposed, such as the transition of traditional chemical fertilizer and pesticide industry to a new kind of industrial complex for agro-ecosystem management.
