A Comparative Study to Understanding about Poetics Based on Natural Language Processing  [PDF]
Lingyi Zhang, Junhui Gao
Open Journal of Modern Linguistics (OJML) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/ojml.2017.75017
Abstract: This paper tries to find out five poets’ (Thomas Hardy, Wilde, Browning, Yeats, and Tagore) differences and similarities through analyzing their works on nineteenth Century by using natural language understanding technology and word vector model. Firstly, we collect enough poems from these five poets, build five corpus respectively, and calculate their high-frequency words, by using Natural Language Processing method. Then, based on the word vector model, we calculate the word vectors of the five poets’ high-frequency words, and combine the word vectors of each poet into one vector. Finally, we analyze the similarity between the combined word vectors by using the hierarchical clustering method. The result shows that the poems of Hardy, Browning, and Wilde are similar; the poems of Tagore and Yeats are relatively close—but the gap between the two is relatively large. In addition, we evaluate the stability of our approach by altering the word vector dimension, and try to analyze the results of clustering in a literary (poetic) perspective. Yeats and Tagore possessed a kind of mysticism poetics thought, while Hardy, Browning, and Wilde have the elements of realism combined with tragedy and comedy. The results are similar comparing to those we get from the word vector model.

Poetics and anthropology  [PDF]
Sekuli? Nada
Filozofija i Dru?tvo , 2004, DOI: 10.2298/fid0424095s
Abstract: The entering of poetics into the field of anthropology, intimated by Nietzsche (through his critique of anthropocentrism), introduced by Bachelard and Bataille and continued in the framework of poststructuralism has influenced the scope and the models of knowledge traditionally related to anthropology, by reexamining and changing them. This influence is researched through the analysis of several authors, discussing the political aspects of their writings at the same time. Their notions of polarity, discontinuity, suspension, transgression and dissemination make visible possible directions of transformation of anthropology.
Luz, Margareth da;
Horizontes Antropológicos , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-71832009000200012
Abstract: this article tries to answer the challenge of constructing an etnographic of a city. its goal is to identify the representations, negotiations and conflicts concerning oscar niemeyer's project in niterói city (rj) which has failed until now, in its intention to insert niterói into a progressive era. his works haven't been concluded in spite of his project is a ten year old one. although the project is centered on an specific area, its results reach the city as hole and it would be important not to miss neither the sense of totality nor the specific urban context. this article focus on some factors that definitely contributes to the understanding of the context where the phenomenon take place: the citizen's favorite self-image; the relation between the city and the metropolis (rio de janeiro); and its political scenario, focusing on the personality of its political leader, the major jorge roberto silveira.
Emociones cómicas: El Tractatus Coislinianus a la luz de la poética aristofánica Comic Emotions: The Tractatus Coislinianus in the light of Aristophanic Poetics  [cached]
Since its publication in 1839, the anonymous Tractatus Coislinianus has provoked an unending dispute about its connection with Aristotelian lost Poetics. This work deals with the definition of comedy given in the Tractatus -almost a copy of the definition of tragedy that can be read in Poetics 6- mostly concerning to catharsis and comic emotions, pleasure and laughter. It is demonstrated that the Tractatus repeats in this topic what Aristophanic comedy proposes as emotional response aroused by two kinds of comedy, the sophisticated one of Aristophanes and the vulgar one of his rivals.
DEARQ : Journal of Architecture , 2008,

Abstract: in spite of the micropropagation to be diffused thoroughly and to present advantages in relation to the traditional methods of propagation, its use in commercial scale in the scions production is limited, mainly, due to the high cost for scions obtaintion. the development of photoautotrophic micropropagation systems with the use of natural light appears as potential possibilities of increasing the efficiency of the micropropagation and help in the cost reduction, making it possible commercially. however, the photoautotrophic micropropagation and the use of natural light lack studies. in brazil, researches with the intention of the use of the natural light in the photoautotrophic micropropagation are practically inexistent, in spite of there bring strong reasons for its research and implementation, mainly, for the fact of brazil being a country of tropical and subtropical climate, with great readiness of natural light along the year, and being in need of new technologies for the scions production section. this review seeks to discuss aspects related to the photoautotrophic micropropagation and the use of natural light, as possibilities making turn the micropropagation a method of scions production viable commercially.
