Design of PLC Control System for Automatic Door

The core of automatic door is its control system. The basic principle of au-tomatic door control system is to use PLC to output digital signal and analog signal to inverter to change working power frequency and drive motor steering, drive motor frequency conversion, change direction operation, drive automatic door to realize door opening and closing operations at different speeds. When the signal acquisition device of the automatic door detects whether a person or an object has passed, the automatic door can be automatically opened and closed to realize the function of the person coming to the door and the person to close the door. The system designed in this paper not only completes the opening and closing of the automatic door at different speeds under different conditions, but also adds more safety protection, such as anti-pinch control, emergency stop and system fault self-test, to achieve the expected design effect. The automatic door control system has the characteristics of higher safety, ease of use and stability.
Design of the Automatic Spreader Control System Based on Embedded System  [cached]

Abstract: The control system of the traditional automatic spreader with complex structure and inconvenient servicing is designed based on MCU, and the new control system is designed based on the embedded system. Based on the analysis of the work process and work principle for the automatic spreader, we put forward the new scheme to improve the design of the control system for traditional spreader and design the hardware structure and relative software. The new control system can not only actualize the automatic control for the spreader and possess many functions such as spreading tier setup and automatic cloth edge alignment, but also possess the functions including network and system extension and effectively reduce the price of automatic spreader, and the improved spreader will possess stronger functions, more convenient operation and simpler maintenance.

Abstract: This article analyzed the temperature control system of the dyeing machine in the textile industry, adopted the technology of PLC to automatically control the temperature and realized the automatic temperature adjustment in the work process of the dyeing machine. The spot adjustment proved that this method could fulfill the basic requirement of the dyeing machine to the temperature.
Design and development of semi-automatic cutting machine for young coconuts

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to design, fabricate, test, and evaluate the prototype of a semi-automatic young coconut fruit cutting machine. The design concept is that fruit cutting is accomplished by pneumatic press on a young coconut sitting on a sharp knife in a vertical plane. The machine consists of 5 main parts: 1) machine frame, 2) cutting base, 3) knife set, 4) pneumatic system, and 5) tanks receiving coconut juice and cut fruits. The machine parts contacting edible parts of the fruit are made of food-grade stainless steel. In operation, a young coconut is placed on the cutting base and the pneumatic control is switched on. The coconut is automatically moved to the pressing unit and cut in half by a knife set. The coconut juice flows down to the tank while the cut fruits are separated and moved into the other tank. The machine is found to operate safely without damage to the fruits. The machine capacity is 480 fruits/hr with the total operating cost of about 2.63 USD/1000 fruits.
Unfalsified Control; Application to automatic flight control system design

Abstract: Unfalsified Control Theory has been developed to provide a way for avoiding modeling uncertainties in controller design. It belongs to the class of control methods called Adaptive Supervisory Switching Control, which work by introducing in the control scheme a supervisory unit which chooses, from a set of candidate controllers the one most suited for the current plant. Unfalsified Control works by using a switching logic that dispenses with the need for a-priori knowledge of the dynamic model. At discrete moments of time, using the input/output data recorded up to that point, the supervisory calculates for each candidate controller a performance index, and compares it to a given threshold. Controllers surpassing that threshold are removed from the candidate controller set. This process is called falsification. If the controller in the loop is one such falsified controller it is replaced. In this paper we investigate the suitability of this method for aeronautical control applications. We review the theory behind this control scheme and adapt it to the case of controlling a fighter aircraft. We also provide a case study, where we test this control scheme on a simulated fighter aircraft.
Development of Automatic Person Detection System to Control AC Fan & Room Lights

Abstract: The work on “Development of automatic person detection system to control electrical fan and lights” using Microcontroller is a reliable circuit that takes over the task of controlling the room lights in museums very accurately. When somebody enters into the Museum then the light in the museum will be switched ON and count also incremented by one when any one leaves the room then count will be decremented by one. If the total count will be zero, the light will be automatically switched OFF. The microcontroller does the above job. It receives the signals from the sensors, and this signal is operated under the control of software which is stored in ROM. Pic Microcontroller 16F887A continuously monitor the sensors, A IR Sensor is which controls the switching on/off of the light when it detects the any person entered into the museum. The implementation is made simpler by using sensor to detect person. The system includes IR sensor, microcontroller, LCD display and a 5v power is supplied to run the system. The system uses a compact circuitry built around pic microcontroller programs are developed in Embedded C. Flash magic is used for loading programs into Microcontroller.

Abstract: After the CSNS ion source test stand has been stably working for years, an online control system for CSNS ion source aiming to be more stable and reliable is now under development. F3RP61-2L, a new PLC CPU module under Linux system, is introduced to the system as an IOC, to function together with the I/O modules of FA-M3 PLC on the PLC-bus. The adoption of the new IOC not only simplifies the architecture of the control system, but also improves the data transmission speed. In this paper, the design and development of the supervisory and control system for CSNS ion source are described.

Abstract: This paper presents the design of controller based on the principles of Neural networks. The concept of artificial intelligent techniques greatly helps in overcoming the disadvantages posed by the conventional controllers. A hierarchical architecture of three layer feed forward neural network (NN) is proposed for controller design based on back propagation algorithm (BPA). Area Control Error (ACE) is considered as input to the neural network controller and the output of the controller is provided to the governor in each area. The proposed controllers are tested for a two area hydrothermal system. Simulation results show that the limitations of conventional controller can be overcome by including Neural concept and thereby the dynamic response of the system with respect to peak time, overshoot and settling time can be improved drastically. Abstract: Power supply in Nigeria and most developing countries of the world is anything but stable.This has adverse effects on the consumers of the electricity and the equipments that are operated from the mains sources of electricity supply in these parts of the world. In this paper, we provide an automatic switching mechanism that transfers the consumer loads to a power source from a generator in the case of power failure in the mains supply. It automatically detects when power has been restored to the mains supply and returns the loads to this sourcewhile turning off the power from the generator set. This mechanism has been tested and we recorded a great result. It thus holds an important key in the provision of a continuous power supply through a near seamless switching between the mains supply and an alternative standbysource like the generator set.
