Abstract: This paper is part of a research project which aims to identify the teachers’ educational needs and the implementation of Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) and its impact on teaching, learning and cognitive processes as well as the students’ behavioural adaptation. In the main research, 118 primary school teachers from the island of Lesvos in Greece participated, 36 of them (30.5%) were male and 82 (69.5%) were female teachers. The questionnaire used in this research consists of seven issue units. Teachers who took part in the research were not totally satisfied with the training that they had already received but on the other hand, they were positive in the idea of continuous training, whereas there are differentiations among demographic units concerning the characteristics of training.

Abstract: The article features the general tasks of personality training, upbringing and development, determined by the transfer to the new information society. The author specifies the objective of informatics teachers professional training under the credit-modular system. The author analyzes major tasks and preconditions for the students' constructing individual trajectories of basic professional training on the basis of education credits and modular training technologies. Abstract: This work is a descriptive study about a set of tools made –up for teachers of Medical Informatics I, for the Faculty of Medicine in Las Tunas. For the development of the theoretical-practical and for the practical lessons, it is offered electronic presentations, guidelines for practice activities and seminars, as well as an electronic book for the preparation of teachers. This work eases the preparation of teachers, a better planning of the students’ individualities. This work has favoured the quality in the teaching-learning process where human values are strengthened.

Abstract: The purpose of the study to find out the personality characteristics among sports teachers and non-sports teachers. Personality Inventory (N.E.O.P.I) by Paul T. Costa, Jr., Ph.D. & Robert R. McCrae, Ph.D. 1989, 1992. Besides a PDS was used to get other necessary information about the teachers. Hypotheses of the study There will be significant difference between Sports teachers and Non-Sports teachers on the dimension of personality i e Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism. Conclusion 1. Sports Teachers have significantly high openness than Non- Sports Teachers. 2. Sports Teachers have significantly high conscientiousness than Non- Sports Teachers. 3. Sports Teachers have significantly high extraversion than Non- Sports Teachers. 4. There were no significant differences in between Sports Teachers and Non- Sports Teachers dimension of agreeableness. 5. Sports Teachers have significantly high neuroticism than Non- Sports Teachers.

The main demands to the distance learning systems which are used for providing the needs of the studying process are defined and characterized in the article. There is also a list of free of charge systems for the management of the educational resources. A comparative analysis of the main systems has been done for determining the optimal distance learning platform for the development of the teachers’ subject-oriented competence in the postgraduate pedagogical education.
The Influence of Personality Traits of High School Teachers on Their Teacher Qualifications

Abstract: Th e eff ects of the personality traits on the teacher qualifications of the teachers working of the high schools were analysed in this study. Th is study was a local survey research at 2010-2011 of the summer semester. Th e sample of the study consisted of 428 teachers. Personality test based on adjectives, and perceptions of compedence scale were used as data collection tools. “Path analysis” method was done for data analysis by structural equation modelling procedure. Analysis revealed that the openness for the experience, one of the personality traits, was found to be the most infl uential predictor of the teacher qualifications, also self-development, one of the teacher qualifications, was found to be most infl uenced dimension from the personality traits.
