Abstract: Ao reatar o elo mais profundo entre a psicologia e a filosofia, Merleau-Ponty revisita a obra clínica de Kurt Goldstein (1878-1965), reavivando, em especial, seu contributo fenomenológico. As no es de "estrutura" (Gestalt) e "sentido" s o, aqui, agenciadas quanto a uma compreens o mais integral do comportamento, da vida e da linguagem; alcance que Goldstein obtém, ao estudar os diferentes distúrbios linguísticos, na contram o das teorias intelectualistas e empiristas, essencialmente causais. Ao retomar esse inventário crítico, Merleau-Ponty atenta para o caráter original, dinamico e, sobretudo, ontológico dessa proposta. To reactivate a more profound alliance between psychology and philosophy, Merleau-Ponty revisits the clinical work of Kurt Goldstein (1878-1965), recalling, in particular, its phenomenological contributions. The notions of "structure" (Gestalt) and "sense" are here used the search for a more integral understanding of behavior, life and language. Goldstein achieves this by studying different language disturbances, in contrast to essentially causal intellectualist and empiricist theories. To reconstitute this critical inventory, Merleau-Ponty observes the original, dynamic and, above all, ontological character of Godstein's proposals.

Abstract: The text approaches some central notions in the studies Merleau-Ponty carried out in his courses in the Collège de France between the years of 1954 and 1960. It deals with the passage from animality to the human body and, as important as stressing the differences between the two, it tries to show their Ineinander, one into the other, or a common belonging. Then, it highlights the notions of institution and of unconscious: with the first the philosopher learns how to overcome the limits of the notion of consciousness; with the latter the author both distinguishes his notion from Lévi-Strauss’ and intensifies the debate with freudism.

Abstract: the objetive of the present work is to present the notion of behavior with basis on merleau-ponty's of "the structure of behavior". the notion of structure plays a double role in that work: it allows understanding both the integration and the ruptures between the different order of phenomena (physical, vital and human), as well as apprehending conscience in situation, as the emergence of a sense anterior to the conscience of self and of the world. the passage from vital order to symbolic or human order, and merleau-ponty's criticism to bergson, who would have biologized the phenomenon of human culture, are highlighted.

Abstract: This work discusses the reach of the considerations of Merleau-Ponty for a formulation of a theory of the behavior. We sought, before everything, to show in that felt Merleau-Ponty refuses the interpretations of the schools intellectual and empirical about the behavior. Then, in a second moment, having in view the current problems of those classic theories, we pointed the foundations to a phenomenological description of the behavior: mainly from the structure notion. We look for, also, to establish the genealogy, the different uses and sense of the term structure in human sciences, especially for the GestaltPsychology. Finally, we argue the direction given for Merleau-Ponty to the term structure and as this notion became possible a phenomenological reading of the behavior.

Abstract: In this paper, I argue that Merleau-Ponty reformulates traditional transcendental philosophy in the sense of showing that the a priori conditions of experience cannot be separated from the concrete experiences of the embodied subject. In the first section, I revisit Kant and Husserl, to analyze how these authors delimit the transcendental conditions as a formal domain independent from any concrete experience. Then I reconstruct the argumentative move through which Merleau-Ponty rejects this formal delimitation of the transcendental sphere and reintroduces it as inseparable from empirical domain,initially in The Structure of Behavior (section 2) and later in Phenomenology of Perception (section 3).

Abstract: Partindo da constata o de que o olhar do outro tem uma participa o destacada nos primeiros momentos da constitui o psíquica, prop e-se uma hipótese sobre a imita o do olhar como fator determinante na constitui o do eu. Para fundamentar essa hipótese, discutem-se alguns aspectos das teorias de Sartre, Merleau-Ponty e Lacan sobre o olhar, colocando-se em destaque os pontos de aproxima o e distanciamento entre eles. The metaphysics of the gaze: short dialogue with Sartre, Merleau-Ponty and Lacan. Taking as a starting point the important role played by the gaze of the other in early psychic development, this article presents a hypothesis about the imitation of the gaze as a key element in the constitution of the ego. The grounds for this hypothesis are searched for in some aspects of three different theories of the gaze: those of Sartre, Merleau-Ponty and Lacan. The article explores the convergences and disagreements among these authors and proposes, as a form of dialogue with them, an original understanding of Lacan's concept of the gaze as object a.

Abstract: In this paper, we try to define some aspects of a political ethics in Merleau-Ponty’s phylosophy. It is possible to describe a recurring and structural problem in his political work : the question of humanism . This problem implies that the goal of any policy consists in the institution of a symbolic link between human beings. We argue that the problem of humanism structures the political thought of the philosopher and explains Merleau-Ponty’s relation to Marxism and to history. The courage of the institution, which can be an answer to the problem of humanism, embodies the fondamental political virtue. A virtue that Merleau-Ponty calls virtue without any resignation .

Abstract: this article aims to tackle the question of intersubjectivity, beyond the traditional philosophical question of otherness. this issue is fundamental in philosophy, but also in psychoanalysis and psychopathology, since it involves the constitution of a relationship with the other, an experience based on infantile memory and never definitively acquired. this involves various theoretical and clinical experiences, as far as the treatment of contemporary psychopathological forms is concerned. the author shows how merleau-ponty's interest for the body and the other echoes winnicottian psychoanalysis and how both reveal a mental act specific to intersubjectivity and affect figurability, lying between perception and hallucination, inside and outside, subject and other.

Abstract: in line with the general goal of a longitudinal study about merleau-ponty's use of the body schema notion in his philosophy, in this paper, we look at his course at the sorbonne, located in an intermediary period of his work. in these courses, the philosopher starts discussions on corporeity, based on the philosophy of the child and psychoanalysis, with the intersubjectivity problem and the body schema theory as the central axes. merleau-ponty understands that the acquisition of a single, "total" body scheme implies decentering from oneself, so that one's own body, the other person's body and the world can intertwine in a "relational tissue" that inextricably involves visibility and intra-body thickness. we consider that, in these study, merleau- ponty takes an important step towards the notion of flesh as found in his later works.
