Abstract: this study represents a theoretical-philosophical attempt to reflect upon the dialogical element in the world of nursing care supported by martin buber's presuppositions. it starts with the historical roots of the care concept as something inherent of the human being's existence, reaching its expressive and professional slope nursing care and how the dialogue produces, intermediates and leads the relationships of caring. finally, it is believed that the dialogue needs to be considered beyond the communication mechanism, as it carries significance and feelings when the meeting of care in nursing is established.

Two Paradigms of Faith. Martin Buber on Judaism and Christianity  [cached]
Iulia Grad
Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies , 2007,
Abstract: This paper attempts to analyze the place that Christianity occupies within the framework of Martin Buber’s thought and to present some of the arguments brought by Buber in order to support his conception regarding Christianity. There is a great number of books, articles and studies belonging to Buber that touch, on different levels, the topic proposed, nevertheless, the most significant for this paper is Buber’s book Two types of faith, intended as a comparative analysis of Judaism and Christianity. Buber’s perception on Christianity is characterized by the dualistic perspective that defines his whole philosophy. The two paradigms that represent the basis of Buber’s entire thought (the world of Thou and the world of It) are to be found at the basis of “the duality of faith” he postulates. Thus, the analysis will be carried on two different levels, which, however sometimes share common elements.
The Kingdom of God. Martin Buber's Critique of Messianic Politics
Paul Mendes- Flohr
Behemoth : a Journal on Civilisation , 2008,
Abstract: Through a textual and contextual analysis of Martin Buber’s scholarly disquisition, K nigtum Gottes (1932), the article focuses on his critique of political Messianism. This critique is addressed to his friends who participated in the Bavarian Revolution of 1918/19, the political theology of Friedrich Gogarten and Carl Schmitt, and given trends in Zionism. This article discusses the affinities of Buber’s critique of political Messianism with that of Max Weber who like Buber called for a political and ethical re-valorization of the everyday. This call is contrasted with Walter Benjamin’s political Messianism, whose dialectic in effect endorses a similar ethos.
Philosophy and Judaic Pattern in the Thinking of Martin Buber and Emmanuel Levinas  [cached]

Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies , 2002,
Abstract: M. Buber and Levinas develop two Jewish philosophical systems, which are constituted by the meeting of the two traditions: the philosophical and the religious one. Beyond the evidently particular configuration, the relational principle theorized by the two thinkers has as the unity element the valuation of a Biblical archetype. Our analysis deals with the relational principle as Judaic pattern in Buber's and Levinas' thinking. We can observe that each of the two authors proposes us a system that relies on the dual structure of the human world. Its archetype is revelational in nature, similar to the one disclosed by the Mount Sinai theophany.

Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2008,
