Open letter to Her Majesty The Queen on an inability of LOCOG to stop in-competition doping at London 2012 Summer Olympic Games  [cached]
Alexei R. Koudinov
Doping Journal , 2012,
Abstract: London 2012 Summer Olympic Games will be remembered not only for a failure of International Olympic Committee, National Olympic Committees and teams, International and National Sports Federation and other Olympic parties to protect athletes for discrimination based on age and gender (Doping J 2012, Vol. 9, 2, Ref 1). It will be also remembered for a failure of London Organizing Committee Olympic Games (LOCOG) and World Antidoping association (WADA) to stop in-competition doping in swimming and to strip of medals those who compete unfairly to protect Olympic value of fair play. This letter to Her Majesty the Queen alerts the Head of the Hosting State of the broken Olympic integrity and provides scientific evidence and witness testimony (by Michael Phelps coach Bob Bowman) on why and how listening to music improves blood oxygen capacity and is a performance enhancement. As no action was undertaken by informed LOCOG, this scholar letter calls for Her Majesty The Queen to help reinstate the failure of Olympic value of fair play.

Abstract: Since the 1960s both regeneration and security have been prominent themes in Olympic planning. However, this paper argues that the prominence given to post event legacies in London s bid to host the 2012 Summer Games has fomented a merger of these hitherto distinct ambitions oriented around notions of resilience . In addition to identifying this merger, based on analysis of planning for the 2012 Games the paper sets out its component features and considers a range of key implications. These include the accommodation of Olympic security amid shifting national security arrangements and, at a local level, the impact and importance of the 2011 London riots on Olympic safety and security processes. Organised over four areas of discussion the first three comprising of the coupling of spatial strategies of resilient planning and design with concerns for security; the temporal framework of such approaches; analysis of the altered physical and institutional landscape of London ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games the paper concludes by identifying and discussing the ways in which urban rejuvenation and securitisation which are increasingly being combined into resilient designs and master plans in the Olympic context and, crucially, standardised, exported and transferred to new urban hosts of similar events.

Advances in Physical Education (APE) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ape.2015.54034
Abstract: There exist many factors that may have influenced the performance of the only four Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) competitors at the 2012 London Olympic Games. However, in the present article, the attention is focused only on available anthropometric factors. Computer carried out the analysis of the ages, heights and/or weights of all the competitors of some divisions at the 2012 London Olympic Games [super heavyweight male boxers (more than 91 kg); male judokas weighing 100 kg and over; women who ran the 1500 m race; and men who ran the marathon]. An examined clip showed the contribution of factors others than anthropometric to the early defeat of the Congolese boxer Mwamba Meji at the 2012 London Olympic Games (inadequate wearing of boxing helmet, wearing of boots inappropriate to boxing practice, the imperfection of boxing guard, errors of tactics, face showing fear of the opponent’s attacks). None of the three aforesaid anthropometric factors contributed to the boxer’s defeat. Inadequate anthropometric factors that caused early defeats of the three other Congolese competitors at the 2012 London Olympic Games were: 1) the relative age of the male judoka Mandembo Cedric when compared with that of his opponent, and his too short absolute height; 2) the too young age, the too short height and the too light weight of the 1500 m female runner Ilunga Sankuru Chancel; as well as 3) the too young age and the too short height of the marathon male runner Ilunga Zatara Mande.
