Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C28H32N42+·2Br ·0.5H2O, contains one 3,3′-[1,2-phenylenebis(methylene)]bis(1-propylbenzimidazolium) cation, two bromide anions and one half-molecule of water. In the crystal, the whole 3,3′-[1,2-phenylenebis(methylene)]bis(1-propylbenzimidazolium) cation and one of the bromide anions are each disordered over two positions with site-occupancy ratios of 0.751 (6):0.249 (6) and 0.680 (8):0.320 (8). For the major component of the disordered cation, the central benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 83.6 (5) and 88.2 (4)° with its adjacent imidazole rings, while these angles for the minor component are 89.2 (15) and 84.9 (13)°. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked by C—H...Br hydrogen bonds into dimers and then stacked along the c axis. The crystal packing is further stabilized by C—H...π and π–π interactions [shortest centroid–centroid distance = 3.646 (4) ].

Abstract: The title compound, C34H35O2N3, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-[3,6-bis(diethylamino)-9H-xanthen-9-yl]benzoyl chloride with aniline. In the molecular structure, the dihedral angles between the isoindoline and xanthene planes and between the isoindoline and benzene planes are 86.9 (3) and 47.0 (2)°, respectively. The molecular packing in the crystal structure is stabilized by weak C—H...O hydrogen bonding.

Abstract: the synthesis of 1,2-bis(5'-trihalomethylisoxazol-3'-yl)ethanes (3-6) and 1,2-bis(5'-trihalomethylpyrazol-3'-yl)ethanes (7-10) from the cyclocondensation of 1,1,1,10,10,10-hexahalo-4,7-dimethoxydeca-3,7-dien-2,9-diones (1 and 2) with hydroxylamine and hydrazines is reported. in addition, the one-pot synthesis of 1,2-bis(5'-alkoxycarbonylpyrazol-3'-yl)ethanes (11-14) by reaction of chloro-substituted dienone 2 and hydrazines is also described.

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [MoF(N2H2)(C31H29N2P2)(C26H24P2)](BF4)2, each Mo atom is surrounded by four P atoms of one 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane and one 2-[bis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)amino]pyridinium ligand. The remaining binding sites of the distorted octahedron are occupied by a hydrazidate (NNH22 ) and a fluoride ligand. Two F atoms of an anion are disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are ca 0.7 and 0.3.

Abstract: The well established and known chemistry of metal phosphides as nucleophilic and reactive precursors has been used as a suitable synthetic approach in the synthesis of 1,2-bis(butylphenylphosphino) ethane (bppe) (5) andcis-1,2-bis(butylphenylphosphino) ethylene (bppey) (6). Adducts of bridged and bis-chelated gold(I) with 5 and 6, as well as silver(I) with 5, have been prepared in moderate to good yields. These complexes have been characterised by solution NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry (FAB) and microanalysis in case of 10a, 10b and 11.

Abstract: 1,2-bis(2-methylallyl)disulfane was synthesized from sodium sulfide and 3-chloro-2-methylpropylene. The structure of the target product was confirmed by GC-MS, 1H-NMR and elemental analysis. Cell viability assay, flow-cytometric analysis and protein expression results showed that 1,2-bis(2-methylallyl)disulfane could significantly inhibit the proliferation, and induce the apoptosis of human HepG2 cells.

Abstract: The title compound, C2H8N+·C22H12BO6 ·0.5H2O, was synthesized under atmospheric conditions in the presence of dimethylformamide acting as a template. The structure is composed of [NH2(CH3)2]+ cations, bis(3-oxidonaphthalene-2-carboxylato)borate anions and water molecules. The water molecule lies on a twofold rotation axis. The stabilization of the crystal structure comes from electrostatic interactions and is assisted by intermolecular O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds between the layers.

Abstract: In the title compound, [Fe(CH3CN)2(C14H32O4P2)2]Cl2, the FeII atom lies on a crystallographic inversion center and has a distorted trans-FeN2P4 octahedral coordination environment arising from two P,P′-bidentate 1,2-bis[bis(3-hydroxypropyl)phosphino]ethane ligands in the equatorial plane and two acetonitrile molecules in the axial positions. One of the pendant –(CH2)3OH groups of the ligand is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.597 (5):0.403 (5) ratio. In the crystal, O—H...Cl and O—H...O hydrogen bonding helps to establish the packing.

Abstract: The synthesis of N, N''-(1,2-phenylene)-bis[4-(azidomethyl)benzamide] ( 2) by direct nucleophilic disubstitution of the suitable dihalogen precursor 1 with NaN 3 is reported. The structure of the title compound was fully characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, EI-MS, elemental analysis and melting point determination.

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(C9H7O4)2(C12H10N2)2(H2O)2], consists of one Co2+ ion, one mono-deprotonated 2-(4-carboxylatophenyl)acetate carboxylic acid, one 1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethane molecule and one water molecule. The CoII atom is situated on a crystallographic center of inversion and is octahedrally coordinated by two O atoms from two anions, two N atoms of two 1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethane molecules and two O atoms from two water molecules. A three-dimensional network is established by intermolecular O—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds.
