Abstract: Wireless Sensor Network is an area of growing interest in which recent advancements in the field of sensing, computing and communication attracted various research efforts. Limitations of sensors involve power consumption, computation as well as communication capability. Data aggregation is one practical solution of constraint of power consumption. Various Data aggregation schemes have been proposed on the basis of privacy homomorphism. Privacy homomorphism allows direct computation on encrypted data. Thus, Data Aggregation helps in reducing transmission overhead as well as better security.

Abstract: Aiming the severe energy and computing resource constraints of wireless sensor networks, data aggregation is an important approach that assists it in decreasing the energy consumption, eliminating data redundancy, increasing the energy efficiency of the useful information flow from the source to the sink and extending the network lifetime. Data aggregation can be incorporated with routing protocols or can be implemented as individual protocols/techniques that interact closely with routing protocols. Firstly, the backgrounds of aggregation were introduced. Then the main aggregation techniques were analyzed and reviewed, including aggregation routings, aggregate functions and data mining. Finally, the future rescarch directions of data aggregation in wirelcss sensor network were pointed out.

Abstract: : A standard Wireless Sensor Network comprises of a huge number of sensor nodes with data processing and communication capabilities. The sensor nodes pass the gathered data using radio transmitter, to a sink either straightforwardly or through other nodes in a multi-hop approach. Wireless sensor network is a power consuming system, since nodes perform on restricted power batteries which decreases its lifetime. Optimally selected modulation and coding is extremely vital technique in wireless sensor networks. This paper surveys the performance of differentmodulation schemes and error control codes used in sensor networks. Abstract: Wireless sensor networks have been used in various fields like battle feilds, surveillance, schools, colleges, etc. It has been used in our day-to-day life. Its growth increases day by day. Sensor node normally senses the physical event from the environment such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure etc. Sensor nodes are connected with each other through wireless medium such as infrared or radio waves it depends on applications. Each node has its internal memory to store the information regarding the event packets. In this paper we will come to know the various algorithms in clustering techniques for wireless sensor networks and discuss them. Clustering is a key technique used to extend the lifetime of a sensor network by reducing energy consumption .It can also increase network scalability. Sensor nodes are considered to be homogeneous since the researches in the feild of WSNs have been evolved but in reality homogeneous sensor networks hardly exist. Here we will discuss some of the impact of heterogeneous sensor networks on WSN and various clustering algorithms used in HWSN.

Abstract: Many wireless sensor network (WSN) applications require privacy-preserving aggregation of sensor data during transmission from the source nodes to the sink node. In this paper, we explore several existing privacy-preserving data aggregation (PPDA) protocols for WSNs in order to provide some insights on their current status. For this, we evaluate the PPDA protocols on the basis of such metrics as communication and computation costs in order to demonstrate their potential for supporting privacy-preserving data aggregation in WSNs. In addition, based on the existing research, we enumerate some important future research directions in the field of privacy-preserving data aggregation for WSNs.

Abstract: The Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are composed of resource starved sensor nodes that are deployed to sense, process and communicate vital information to the base station. Due to the stringent constraints on the resources in the sensor nodes on one hand and due to the communications costs being always significantly higher than the data processing costs, the WSNs typically, employ in-network processing, which aims at reducing effectively, the total number of packets eventually transmitted to the base station. Such innetwork processing largely employs data aggregation operations that aggregate the data into a compact representation for further transmission. However, due to the ubiquitous & pervasive deployment, heavier resource demands of the security protocols and due to the stringent resource constraints in WSN nodes, the security concerns in WSNs are even otherwise critical. These concerns assume alarming proportions when using data aggregation in which the output of the data aggregator nodes depends on that of various other nodes. Hence, the protocols for data aggregation have to carefully devised with a constant vigil on ensuring security of the data. In this paper, based on our survey of the existing research efforts for ensuring secure data aggregation, we propose a novel approach using homomorphic encryption and additive digital signatures to achieve confidentiality, integrity and availability for secure data aggregation in wireless sensor networks.
