Thermal Adsorption and Catalytic Photodegradation Studies of Carbendazim Fungicide in Natural Soil and Water

Abstract: Adsorption characteristics and catalytic photodegradation of carbendazim (methyl benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamate) have been investigated in Kurdistan natural soil and different natural waters (drinking, river, lake and ground water). Physico-chemical properties of the natural soil and water were determined. The equilibrium adsorption of carbendazim onto studied soil samples described by Freundlich adsorption model. The catalytic photodegradation processes were studied in aqueous Titanium dioxide (TiO2) suspensions under UV radiation. The kinetic study was done by monitoring the concentration during the degradation process, using High performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), coupled with UV-visible spectrophotometer. It was found that the photocatalytic degradation process in this work exhibited pseudo first-order kinetics. The rates of catalytic photodegradation of carbendazim in natural water were lower than that in distilled water.
Photodegradation of new herbicide HW-02 in organic solvents

Abstract: HW-02 is a new organophosphates herbicide which is discovered and developed in China. The kinetics and mechanism of HW- 02 photodegradation in the organic solvents were studied at 25°C under the irradiation of ultraviolet light. The results showed that photochemical reaction of HW-02 in organic solvents such as n-hexane, methanol, dimethyl benzene and acetone under UV light could be well described by the first kinetic equation, and the photodegradation efficiency decreased with a order of n-hexane > methanol > xylene > acetone. The photodegradation efficiency constant of HW-02 in n-hexane, methanol, xylene and acetone were 4.951 × 10?2, 3.253 × 10?2, 2.377 × 10?2 and 1.628 × 10?2 min?1, and the corresponding half-lives were 13.99, 21.20, 29.15 and 42.56 min, respectively. By separation and identification of photoproducts using GC-MS, it could be concluded that HW-02 was photolyzed through ester cleavage, photo-dechlorination and photoisomerization of the molecule itself.

Abstract: 设 计 利 用 X 射 线 光 电 子 能 谱 仪 的 高 真 空 系 统 作 为 无 氧 条 件 下 光 催 化 反 应 和 分 析 的 场 所 , 研 究 真 空 无 氧 环 境 和 大 气 有 氧 环 境 中 紫 外 光 激 发 TiO2 薄 膜 表 面 的 光 催 化 反 应 , 并 对 无 氧 条 件 下 TiO2 薄 膜 降 解 亚 甲 基 蓝 进 行 初 步 探 索 . 结 果 表 明 , 在 大 气 有 氧 和 真 空 无 氧 条 件 下 TiO2 薄 膜 经 紫 外 光 照 后 , 表 面 的 化 学 组 成 和 化 学 状 态 均 发 生 了 变 化 ; 在 有 氧 环 境 中 TiO2 薄 膜 表 面 氧 含 量 增 加 , 而 在 无 氧 环 境 中 TiO2 薄 膜 表 面 氧 含 量 减 少 . TiO2 薄 膜 表 面 的 吸 附 氧 是 维 持 无 氧 条 件 下 光 催 化 反 应 的 重 要 原 因 , 增 加 薄 膜 表 面 吸 附 氧 的 含 量 能 提 高 TiO2 薄 膜 在 无 氧 环 境 中 的 催 化 活 性 . 此 外 , 无 氧 条 件 下 TiO2 薄 膜 降 解 亚 甲 基 蓝 光 催 化 反 应 过 程 中 , 亚 甲 基 蓝 分 子 只 是 脱 去 了 某 个 含 氮 的 基 团 , 生 成 了 中 间 产 物 , 而 并 没 有 完 全 降 解 .
Method of transforming resistance gene to carbendazim intoTrichoderma sp.

Abstract: The method of transforming resistance gene to carbendazim intoTrichoderma sp. was studied by using genetic engineering technique. The results show that the time of fungicide selection on the transformedTrichoderma sp. may have very important effect on the resistance gene transformation. By this method, the resistance gene to carbendazim was transformed intoTrichoderma harzianum, a strain ofT. harzianum with resistance to carbendazim was achieved. The transformant could grow on the medium containing 150 μg/mL carbendazim. The resistance is stable after 10 times transfer on non-selective medium.
Efficacy of carbendazim and its mixtures for controlling wheat scab

Abstract: 为测定在小麦赤霉病菌Fusarium graminearum抗性频率上升的条件下多菌灵及其复配制剂对小麦赤霉病的防效,于2014—2016年监测了江苏省南通市同块试验田中小麦赤霉病菌对多菌灵的抗药性,并进行了田间药效试验。结果表明,2014、2015和2016年小麦赤霉病菌对多菌灵的抗性频率分别为22.97%、38.55%和43.38%,呈逐年上升趋势。2016年戊唑醇及复配剂多菌灵·戊唑醇、多菌灵·三唑酮处理对小麦赤霉病的田间防效分别达97.82%、92.16%、85.98%,增产效果分别达23.90%、23.54%、22.57%;小麦样品(混粒)中DON毒素含量分别比空白对照降低57.39%、59.99%、43.34%,均优于多菌灵单剂处理,其中以戊唑醇及复配剂多菌灵·戊唑醇处理最好,多菌灵·三唑酮处理次之。因此,在抗性程度中等或偏轻的地区,采用戊唑醇、复配剂多菌灵·戊唑醇防治小麦赤霉病可取得较好的防病、增产及降低DON毒素的效果。
To determine the efficacy of carbendazim and its mixtures on controlling wheat scab in fields with increasing frequency of carbendazim-resistance isolates, the resistance of Fusarium graminearum populations to carbendazim was monitored in the same field from 2014 to 2016, and the efficacy of carbendazim and its mixtures were conducted correspondingly in 2015 and 2016. The results showed that the frequencies of resistant isolates against carbendazim were 22.97%, 38.55% and 43.38% in 2014, 2105 and 2016, respectively, with the trend rising year by year. Compared with the CK, the efficacy on wheat scab control of tebuconazole, carbendazim·tebuconazole and carbendazim·triadimefon treatments were 97.82%,92.16% and 85.98% in 2016, respectively, and the yields of three treatments increased by 23.90%, 23.54% and 22.57%, respectively. The DON concentration in wheat grains collected from plots of three treatments reduced by 57.39%, 59.99% and 43.34%, respectively. The tebuconazole treatment and carbendazim·tebuconazole treatment were the best of all treatments, and better than the mixture of carbendazim·triadimefon treatment. Therefore, tebuconazole or carbendazim·tebuconazole could be used as alternatives to control wheat scab and to increase wheat yield, meanwhile reduce grain toxin at the low and medium level areas of infectious.
