两种铁肥对沟叶结缕草的应用效果  [PDF]

Abstract: 通过对处于枯黄期沟叶结缕草的施肥试验,来确定沟叶结缕草在枯黄期施铁肥的最佳策略。结果表明螯合铁肥的颜色分值和均一性好于无机铁肥,对草坪的转绿有显著效果,浓度为4kg/667m2的螯合铁肥使草坪复绿效果最好,但是综合价格因素,3kg/667m2的无机铁肥施肥效果虽不如螯合铁肥,但是价格实惠,效果也尚可;在无机铁肥施肥试验中,草坪MDA含量效果整体最好的是Fe3+;在螯合铁肥试验中,MDA含量效果整体最好的是3与4kg/667m2;在枯黄期,草坪CAT含量增幅会变小;各种肥料处理都不同程度地推迟了草坪枯黄时间的到来,具体天数从8~28d不等,螯合铁肥对草坪枯黄期要好于无机铁肥,且效果显著(P<0.05);而从草坪观赏性的角度出发,浓度为4kg/667m2的螯合铁肥综合效果最佳,但是价格偏贵。

Abstract: An experiment was conducted to determine physiological responses of Zoysia matrella and Z. japonica to high temperature stress. The results show that the contents of soluble sugar and protein, proline, ABA, GA3, IAA and MDA increase in two tested turf-grass species, along with increased SOD, POD and CAT activity under high temperature stress. High temperature stress treatment decreases chlorophyll a (Chla), chlorophyll b (Chlb) and carotenoid (Car) content, and it concurrently induces changes in leaf Chla/Chlb ratio in the two turf-grass species. The contents of the osmotic adjustment substances, ABA, GA3 and IAA are higher in Z. matrella than in Z. japonica. The same is true for SOD and CAT activity in the two turf-grass species when exposed to high temperature treatment. Hence Z. matrella exhibits better heat resistance than Z. japonica under high temperature conditions.

Abstract: Synthetic – turf or Astroturf, is a grass-like man-made surface manufactured from synthetic polymers. It is most used for sports field and in residential area where natural grass is difficult to grow. Synthetic turf consist three basic components – grass filaments, Infill and backing. Grass filaments require softness and impact strength. Through several generations, grass filaments developed from initially nylon, polypropylene and now from polyethylene. Crumb rubber is used as infill material which contains toxic chemicals present in tyre. Some of the drawbacks of these materials can be solved by modifications in materials like by introduction of TPE –thermoplastic elastomer, which has been presented in this paper.

Abstract: This article posits an analytic of the bystander, as a supplement to studies of perpetrators and victims, in relation to political affiliation, mobilization and violence in Karachi. In particular, I use ethnographic findings to elucidate the tactics of anticipation used by Karachi residents of neighborhoods widely considered the turf of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). The examples of students’ and teachers’ reactions to a college rumble between rival groups, parents’ attempts to keep their sons from being recruited into party politics, and young people confident in their ability to navigate an economy of affiliation demonstrate a range of bystander tactics, in which subjection and subversion are aligned. Although metanarratives of democratization frequently elide the everyday activity of standing by, it constitutes a pervasive mode of participation in Karachi’s political landscape.
Low maintenance turf - quality and weed aspects

Abstract: Turfgrass varieties of Festuca rubra ssp. rubra, F.r. ssp. trichophylla, F. nigrescens, F.arundinacea, F.ovina ssp. vulgaris, F.o. ssp duriuscula, Lolium perenne and Poa pratensis as well as mixtures of high and low share of Lolium perenne were tested in low maintenance conditions during 5 years and evaluated for: shoot density, visual merit and for weed infestation. None of tested entries was able to keep initial quality. Only for few of them (mostly varieties of Festuca ovina ssp. duriuscula and F. arundinacea) visual merit after 5 years was still close to the level of minimal user-accepted value (5 in 1-9 scale). The least visual merit values were noted for Poa pratensis and Festuca rubra ssp. rubra. Twenty weed species of different living forms (geophytes, hemicryptophytes and terophytes) were described. Considering general turf performance, low number of weed species and low number of terophytes, turf mixtures with low share of perennial ryegrass could be recommended for low-maintenance turf.

Abstract: 通过春季对草地早熟禾(Poapratensis)草坪施用不同比例(速效肥缓释肥=10,11,12,21,13,31)的速效肥和缓释肥,研究速效肥和缓释肥混施对草地早熟禾生长及草坪质量的影响。研究结果表明速效肥与缓释肥混施可以持续改善草地早熟禾草坪的颜色,维持草地早熟禾草坪良好质量,保持草坪草组织内N含量的相对稳定,快速持续地满足草坪草生长所需要的养分。其中缓释肥占1/2时改善草坪颜色效果最佳;速效肥与缓释肥比为11或12时,草地早熟禾组织中的氮素含量最高且在整个试验周期内保持稳定;速效肥与缓释肥比为13时草坪生长速度最稳定。
Functional genomics in forage and turf - present status and future prospects

Abstract: The recent advances in plant genomics have greatly influenced basic research in many agriculturally important crops. Along with the availability of complete genome information from the model grass species rice and the model legume species M. trucncatula, the functional genomics activities in other crop species will accelerate the genomics studies of forage and turf. Brachypodium distachyon was recently proposed as a new model plant for forage and turf grass genomics studies. The combination of bioinformatics and genomics will enhance our understanding of the molecular functions of forage and turf species. This review focuses on recent advances and applications of functional genomics for large-scale EST projects, global gene expression analyses, proteomics, and metabolic profiling, as well as the impact of functional genomics on improvement of forage and turf crops.
Comparison between Natural Turf and Artificial Turf on Agility Performance of Rugby Union Players  [PDF]

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in agility performance with natural turf (NT) and artificial turf (AT) surface in rugby union players on the repeated sprint, cut and turn movements and if any differences exist between holding the ball or not in relation to agility performance. Twelve tertiary rugby union players (mean ± SD age, 21.2 ± 2.0 years) participated in the study. Players underwent measurements of anthropometry (height, body mass). Running tests investigated were 40-meter sprinting, change of direction, and “L” run, with all tests for agility measured in two sets with ball and without ball respectively. Results indicated that subjects showed significantly better overall agility performance (P < 0.05) in sprinting (NT: 6.40 ± 0.26 seconds, AT: 6.24 ± 0.26 seconds) and turning (NT: 6.40 ± 0.44 seconds, AT: 5.96 ± 0.38 seconds) on AT than NT. Although the time counted of cutting on AT was faster than on NT (NT: 13.85 ± 0.61 seconds, AT: 13.55 ± 0.68 seconds), the result was not significant. The findings also indicated that running with the ball for 40 meters would not slow the players down as there was a counter effect on the ground surface and ball carrying, while the turning movement was affected by both effects.
