Abstract: Adsorption and degradation of three typical chlorinated benzenes(CBs) were evaluated using commercial nanoscale Fe(nFe) and synthesized palladized Fe(Pd/nFe) via batch experiments.The results showed that the adsorption capacity exhibited significant difference between various conditions,of which its maximum adsorption amount reached with Tris-buffered solution of pH = 6.8.1,2,4,5-TeCB can be dechlorinated by Pd /nFe efficiently within 20 hours.The degradation rates were 75% and 92% in pure water system and ...

Abstract: The relationship between the reduction characteristics and molecular structure of 87 chlorinated aromatics including naphthalenes, biphenyls, benzenes and phenols was studied by using quantitative structure property relation ship technique. The result indicated that there was significant correlation between reduction potential and the energy of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital and the number of chlorine atoms in molecule. The study threw more light on the nature of reduction process, and provided valuable basic data for designing and optimizing treatment process.

Abstract: Degradation of three chlorinated ethenes, trichloroethylene, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and cis-1,2-dichloroethylene, by UV-light irradiated TiO2 catalyst prepared by the sol-gel method in dry air at ambient temperature have been examined by using FTIR measurement. The chlorinated ethenes rapidly decomposed to produce dichloroacethyl chloride, CO, HCl, and COCL2. For trans- and cis-1,2-DCE systems isomerization to each other is found to be the first step of the degradation. The C = C bond of the chlorinated ethenes interacts directly with TiO2 site and, consequently, the degradation results in several products on the catalyst surface in these systems.

Abstract: Analogous to a model that predicts the linear scaling of the binding energy of a nucleus from the number of nucleons, a simple model was developed to account for the observed linear variation of the quantum-chemically computed total electronic energy of the fully-optimized structures of a homologous series of polymers. This model was tested with both ab-initio DFT and molecular mechanics methods on the ortho-fused spiral-benzenes. Both methods predict linear scaling of total polymer energy with increasing number of repeating units added. Since this is also the case for the linear ortho-fused zigzag-benzenes and other polymers, it is postulated that the model is applicable to polymers in general. It may, therefore, be used to predict physical properties of long-chain polymers.

Abstract: Diethyl 2-nitro-(pentafluorosulfanyl)benzylphosphonates, available by the vicarious nucleophilic substitution reaction of meta- and para-nitro-(pentafluorosulfanyl)benzenes and diethyl chloromethylphosphonate, undergo Horner–Wadsworth–Emmons reaction with aldehydes in the presence of potassium hydroxide in acetonitrile at ambient temperature to give (E)-2-nitro-1-alkenyl-(pentafluorosulfanyl)benzenes in good yields and high stereoselectivities. Follow-up transformations of the primary products provided (E)-1-alkenyl-(pentafluorosulfanyl)benzenes and 2-(2-arylethyl)-(pentafluorosulfanyl)anilines.

Abstract: 1994年10月15日马中翼等人在云南省泸水县的老窝捕获到1只雄鸟,经中国科学院昆明动物研究所鉴定为黄腰响蜜lie,为我国鸟类科的新记录。标本保存在中国科学院昆明动物研究所鸟类标本室。科的特征体形较小。嘴形似雀,短而粗实,上嘴稍弯曲;尾羽12枚;翅形长而尖,仅具9枚初级飞羽;脚呈对趾型,第2、3趾向前,第1、4趾向后,似啄木鸟。
