International Journal of Business and Management , 2011, DOI: 10.5539/ijbm.v6n8p94
Abstract: The “knowledge governance approach” is characterized as an emerging approach that cuts across the fields of knowledge management within open innovation and adjusts mutual behavior that parties taking participate in open innovation to be expected. The paper proposed that knowledge governance approach is positively related to open innovation, and then the research has explored the antecedent factors and working mechanism of knowledge governance within open innovation based on Grounded Theory. By way of literature analysis and qualitative research (deeply discussion numbered 27), the paper has derived four dimension of knowledge governance (knowledge property, knowledge activity parties, the exogenous and endogenous context of knowledge activity) and the categories of each dimension. The paper has considered that the knowledge governance is formed by the interplay between interactive value creation process at the knowledge property-level and cooperation unity achieving process at the knowledge activity parties-level. We develop two theoretical models, while one is for explaining the antecedent factors of knowledge governance within open innovation, the other is for explaining the mediating role of knowledge governance in the relationship between knowledge property and knowledge activity parties level antecedents. The paper has strengthened the function of quantitative research, and will be helpful in open innovation theory and practice.

International Business Research , 2010, DOI: 10.5539/ibr.v4n1p154
Abstract: This paper examines the evolution of knowledge sharing, governance mechanism and innovation capabilities in IT outsourcing cooperation. Using a co-evolutionary approach, we develop a framework that shows how knowledge sharing, governance mechanism evolve. Especially, the transactional and knowledge governance both are adopted, which how impact innovation capabilities. Propositions linking the concepts are provided as guides for future empirical research.
Corporate Social Responsibility and Knowledge Management Implications in Sustainable Vehicle Innovation and Development  [cached]
Hamid Jafari Khaledabadi,Thomas Magnusson
Communications of the IBIMA , 2008,
Abstract: Recently, due to the ever-increasing concern regarding the environment, the automotive industry has experienced a significant technological competition in the power-train. Focusing on how Corporate Social Responsibility issues can affect product innovation in a mature industry, this paper studies different technology strategies in sustainable vehicle development. In this regard, after a comprehensive literature review, by carrying out a patent analysis in Europe, the study exemplifies how typical technological knowledge could be managed to enhance innovation strategies. The study reveals that hybrid and fuel-cell technologies have gained prominent attention in the past two decades and seem to be the least risky approaches of alternative technology vehicles in the foreseeable future. Also, the study shows that the Japanese carmakers, who have had a clear commitment to sustainable management, have been the pioneers in this field. Moreover, the paper has some strategic science-to-market transfer implications as well which could serve as the cornerstones of sustainable competitive advantage.
The Impact of Knowledge-based Economy on the Development of Innovation in Services: Case of Algerian Banks and Insurance Companies
Cherchem Mohamed
IBIMA Business Review , 2011,
Abstract: According to the literature that exists on the contents of the Knowledge Based-Economy (KBE), concept approaches you through different themes distinguished as: knowledge and information, cooperation and coordination of public and private actors and KBE, human resources and KBE, Technology Information and Communication in the knowledge economy and innovation in services. We found that innovation and service are the pillars for the development of KBE. Indicators of the knowledge economy are most frequently the manufacturing industry. The role of services in the innovation process has been long regarded as secondary. Yet innovation is affecting more and more service activities. The objective of this work is to link these two issues by focusing on the issue of innovation in services and The KBE. An empirical study allows us to evaluate and estimate the perceptions of banks and insurance Algerian public to the concept of the KBE and innovation as well as responsible attitudes towards new products and services and The KBE. This paper works to shed light on this issue.

Open Journal of Business and Management (OJBM) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/ojbm.2017.53035
Abstract: With the rapid development of economy and the deepening of the globalization, the competition between countries all over the world is becoming more and more fierce. In order to improve the comprehensive national strength and achieve the development of the nation, a government reform upsurge arises at the historic moment. China has a vast territory, and local governments at various levels are the key to ensure the overall stability and progress of our country. An effective local government can enhance the local advantages and competitive ability, and then improve the overall strength of our country. Of course, an effective local government needs to constantly improve its own knowledge system, so that its governance will be more scientific. This article uses the method of literature review to study the relationship between local governance and local knowledge. And we hope to find ways to improve the ability of local governance. Meanwhile, this article introduces the characteristics of local governance and local knowledge, and analyzes the relationship between local governance and local knowledge, and then it puts forward corresponding suggestions on local governance.

Sociology Mind (SM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/sm.2014.44032
Abstract: This research was under context of professional development for mathematics teacher by using the innovation of lesson study and open approach project implemented by the Center for Research in Mathematics Education, Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, during 2009-2011 academic years. The objective of this research was to study the development of mathematical knowledge for teaching of teacher from working based on 3 steps of the lesson study cycle that incorporated 4 phases of open approach. The target groups were a lesson study team in a project school. Data were collected from 3 steps of lesson study and analysis procedures were based on analyzing videos, protocols, and descriptive analysis. The research found that the teachers obtained development as follows: 1) during the step of collaboratively design research lesson, they discussed and shared knowledge in the mathematical textbooks of project, discussion in objective of the lesson and construction of open-ended problem situation, anticipation for students’ thinking, and specification of issues for discussion in classroom; 2) in the step of teaching and collaboratively observing the research lesson, they obtained knowledge for teaching by presenting the open-ended problem situation, the occurred difficulty of students’ problem solving, the students’ thinking approach in problem solving, the association of approach in each learning unit, the sequencing of thinking, and the extension of students’ incomplete thinking approach; and 3) during the step of collaboratively reflection on teaching practice, teachers obtained knowledge by reflecting the students’ goal accomplishment, the students’ learning process, the students’ thinking approach, the efficiency of media, and the experts’ recommendations.
