Abstract: Objetivou-se descrever o panorama da produ o científica em Educa o na Enfermagem e na Saúde a partir dos resumos de teses e disserta es publicadas por enfermeiros no Brasil, entre os anos de 2001 a 2009. Trata-se de estudo bibliométrico, descritivo, de abordagem quantitativa. Os dados foram coletados nos Catálogos de Teses e Disserta es do CEPEn/ABEn. Após leitura dos resumos e sistematiza o do material, realizou-se análise estatística descritiva. Foram encontrados 4.101 estudos, sendo que 523 na temática de Educa o. Destes, 67% eram disserta es e 33% eram teses, hegemonicamente produzidas em Programa de Pós-Gradua o da Regi o Sudeste do Brasil. A representatividade da temática no contexto nacional é significativa e contribui para o avan o do conhecimento na área da Enfermagem, ainda que apresente desigualdades regionais no processo de produ o desse conhecimento. El estudio objetivó describir el panorama de la producción científica en Educación en Enfermería y Salud de los resúmenes de tesis publicadas por enfermeras en Brasil entre los a os 2001 a 2009. Realizó-se un estudio bibliométrico, descriptivo y cuantitativo. Los datos fueran colectados en los archivos "Catálogo de Tesis y Disertaciones" del CEPEn/ABEn. Después de la lectura de los resúmenes y su ordenación, el análisis se realizó por medio de estadística descriptiva. Fueran identificados 4.101 estudios, de los cuales 523 en la temática de Educación en Enfermería y Salud. Entre los estudios, 67% eran de maestría y 33% de doctorado, producidos mayormente en los Programas de Post-grado de la región sudeste del Brasil. Se concluye que la temática tiene destaque a nivel nacional y contribuye al avance del conocimiento de la enfermería, aunque existan diferencias regionales en la producción del conocimiento. The study aimed to describe the panorama of Education in Nursing and Health from abstracts of theses and dissertations published by nurses in Brazil between the years 2001 to 2009. Abstract: The objective of this bibliographical study was to analyze trends of use of the nursing assistance systematization languages in the dissertations and theses published in the catalogs of the Center of Study and Research in Nursing, in the period from 1979 to 2004. The sample was composed of 98 abstracts that constituted research about assistance systemization or that contemplated theories with own language to a nursing process. It was observed: The concentration of studies in the Southeast and Northeast regions; The utilization of the Nanda as nursing language; The application of the Basic Human Needs Theory; The development of studies about profile and validation of diagnosis. The trends of utilization of the founded languages in this study, as well as the evidenced gaps show the need of better knowledge and comprehension to nursing process elements that give base to the classifications at its utilization in the practice, in the research and in the teaching.

Abstract: El objetivo fue identificar las disertaciones y tesis en enfermería brasile a que usaron el método Teoría Fundamentada en Dados (TFD). Estudio bibliométrico de tesis y disertaciones de enfermería defendidas hasta 2009, disponible en: Banco de las tesis de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento de la Educación Superior, Colección de la Asociación Brasile a de Enfermería, Biblioteca Digital Brasile a de Tesis y Disertaciones y sitios institucionales. Para la búsqueda de los datos se utilizaron las palabras clave: "Grounded Theory" y "Teoría fundamentada" de forma individual junto a la "Enfermería". Se encontraron 124 estudios, 63 de maestría y 61 de doctorado, provenientes principalmente del sur y sureste del Brasil. El referencial teórico utilizado predominantemente fue el Interaccionismo Simbólico (71,77%). El uso de la TFD en las tesis y disertaciones de enfermería está creciendo y se demuestra que se puede aplicar en el nivel stricto senso de la formación para la elaboración de constructos teóricos. The metodology used was bibliometric study of nursing theses and dissertations defended until 2009, available on theses database of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education (CAPES), the achievements of the Brazilian Nursing Association (CEPEn), the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and institutional sites. For search of the data we used the keywords: "Grounded Theory" and "Grounded Theory" coupled individually to "Nursing". We found 124 studies, 63 (50,81%) of masters and 61 (49,19%) of doctors, coming mainly from South and Southeast of Brazil. The theoretical framework used was predominantly Symbolic Interaction (71,77%). The use of PDT in theses and dissertations in nursing is growing and it is shown that can be applied at both levels of training in the strict sense for the elaboration of theoretical constructs.
Analysis of Nursing's dissertations and theses about the "elderly", Brazil, 1979-2004: Bibliographical study  [cached]

Abstract: The study investigated the knowledge produced by the Brazilian masters degree programs in Nursing about the elderly’s thematic, between 1979 and 2004. The bibliographical research consulted the summaries of dissertations and theses on elderly classified by the Center of Studies and Researches in Nursing. Of 118 found studies, 81% were dissertations and 19% were theses. Between 2000 and 2004 there was the largest presentations/defenses number (59) and the University of S o Paulo revealed the largest number of researches (43.6%). More than 70% of the authors used qualitative approach and about 58% approached the elderly individually, emphasizing him under the optics of some disease or disturbance (28%), and hospitalized elderly. Researches involving ethics or promoting your development social or intellectual was not evidenced. It’s ended that gaps exist in the Brazilian nurse’s scientific production, that should seek better contribution in the search of solutions for the problems of the elderly population.

Abstract: The human care as a conceptual mark is a theme not developed in the nursing researches. This constatation made the authors establish as objective of the documental research the analysis of the cientific production of a post-graduation course in the northeast about the theories and concepts related to care. The study was developed through bibliographic survey from studies conducted from 1998 to 2004,accounting abstracts from 150 dissertations and 52 Doctoral theses. The Sample, however, was composed of thirteen dissertations and nine theses selected according to the theme. The results showed that the care is a theme not well explored, because only 22 defenses were related to the subject. We concluded that it is relevant to conduct studies that evaluate the scientific production of post-graduation programs, so that we can identify difficulties and possible contributions, guaranteeing a better life quality in the production of nursing knowledge aiming at the humanization of the assistance given.

Theses and dissertations in biology teaching: a historical-epistemological analysis  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper aimed at analyzing the academic production on Biology Teaching developed in Brazilian programs of post-graduation from 1972 to 2000. From 130 documents, 77 researches had been particularly considered, to serve as the basis for a historical-epistemological study. It was considered theses and dissertations on Education, Mathematics Education and Science Education, which provided subsidies to the analytical reference used in this paper, guided by Fleck’s epistemological conception, more specifically by the categories of thought style, thought collective, intra-collective and inter-collective circulation of thought. The content of such theses and dissertations – the problems investigated, theoretical reference and methodological procedures adopted – made possible to present and argue that, during the period investigated, different perspectives, mainly epistemological and educational, guided the academic production on Biology Teaching. Transformations that occurred in several conceptions that based the research during those three decades were identified and characterized. It was observed that the area changed from a research centered in problems related exclusively to teaching activities and faced from a empiricist-positivist perspective, into a research whose problems considered both teachers and students activities. However, those activities were analyzed by a non-empiricist epistemological conception, from which a concept of subject comes – scientists, teachers, students and researchers on Biology Teaching –, whose most remarkable characteristic is to be active and, mainly, non-neutral. It is argued that, based on Fleck’s conception, the group of researchers on Biology Teaching may be understood as thought collectives that share epistemological, educational and methodological concepts, which have been transformed as long as the area of Biology Teaching has been built. It was possible to conclude that the consolidation of this field of research leaded to the emergency of two styles of thought. Possibly, some changes in the framework are occurring due to the new posed challenges, which still had not emerged among the problems investigated by the theses and dissertations analyzed in this paper.

Abstract: this bibliographic study analyzes scientific texts published in the cepen database in the mental health field (1979-2007). a total of 280 abstracts were investigated, of which 208 were master’s theses. the individuals investigated in these studies were professionals (57), patients (50), and professors and/or students (18). among the themes addressed between 2000 and 2007 were the following: nursing care in mental health (40), perception in mental health (37); and transversality in mental health care (27). this study provided an overview of the scientific research produced in the mental health field in brazilian nursing graduate programs. we expect this study to elicit reflections concerning mental health care practice and enable new approaches for nursing promoting health and the prevention of diseases in order to enable patients to recover their citizenship, autonomy and quality of life.

Abstract: Este estudo busca identificar as produ es de teses e disserta es de enfermagem catalogadas no Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas em Enfermagem - CEPEN, que abordem a forma o do enfermeiro considerando as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais na perspectiva da forma o para o SUS. Estudo bibliométrico e descritivo realizado no CEPEN nos catálogos de 2003 a 2007. Foram selecionados 27 trabalhos, analisados quantitativamente quanto à institui o de ensino, ano de publica o, titula o da pesquisa (disserta o ou tese), tipo de pesquisa, e, qualitativamente os temas e referencial teórico filosófico e metodológico. Os resultados evidenciam 100% dos trabalhos desenvolvidos em institui es públicas, com uma produ o maior em teses; há poucos estudos que tratam do perfil do egresso, bem como da forma o para o SUS. Este estudio intenta identificar las pesquisas de enfermería catalogadas en el Centro de Estudios y Pesquisas de Enfermería - CEPEN, que aborden la formación de enfermero considerando las Directrices Curriculares Nacionales con la perspectiva de la formación para el SUS. Estudio bibliométrico y descriptivo de los catálogos del 2003 al 2007 del CEPEN, siendo seleccionados 27 trabajos, analizados cuantitativamente en cuanto a la institución de ense anza, a o de publicación, titulación de la pesquisa (disertación o tesis), tipo de pesquisa y, cualitativamente los temas y referencial teórico, filosófico y metodológico. Los resultados muestran que el 100% de los trabajos realizados en las instituciones públicas, con el aumento de la producción de tesis, son pocos los estudios que abordan el perfil de los egresados, así como la capacitación para él SUS. This study aims to identify the nursing theses and dissertation production catalogued in the Center for Study in Nursing Research - CEPEN, which treats nurse formation according to the National Curricular Directives on the SUS formation approach. This is a bibliometric and descriptive study performed on the theses and dissertations catalog of CEPEN, between 2003 and 2007. Twenty seven papers were selected, and quantitatively analyzed according to institution, year of publication, degree of research (dissertations or theses), type of research, and qualitatively analyzed according to themes, philosophical theory, and methodological reference. The results show 100% of the work performed in public institutions, with increased production in theses, there are few studies that deal with the profile of graduates, as well as training for SUS.

Abstract: OBJETIVO: Caracterizar as teses e disserta es na temática aleitamento materno produzidas nos Programas de Pós-Gradua o em Enfermagem do Brasil entre 1999 e 2010. MéTODOS: Estudo bibliométrico realizado por meio de consulta ao banco de teses da Coordenadoria de Aperfei oamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, , localizando-se 96 teses e disserta es, das quais, 25% eram teses de doutorado, 75% disserta es de mestrado dentre estas, 93% de mestrado acadêmico e 7% de mestrado profissional. RESULTADOS: A concentra o da produ o reside nos Programas de Pós-Gradua o de Enfermagem das Regi es Sul e Sudeste. Três docentes orientaram 24,9% dos estudos. Ainda, 63,5%dos estudos eram de natureza qualitativa, 29,2% de natureza quantitativa e 7,3% utilizaram as duas abordagens. O referencial teórico-filosófico mais utilizado foi a fenomenologia e o metodológico, a análise de conteúdo. CONCLUS O: Os resultados mostraram a importancia desta temática em estudos avan ados. Superar dogmas e ideologias da amamenta o por posi es cientificamente fundamentadas é prioridade quando se prop em avan os no cuidado de enfermagem em aleitamento materno.
