Revista Brasileira de Zoologia , 1994, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-81751994000100001
Abstract: the present catalog is an inventory of names proposed in erotylidae (from family through subspecies) ocurring in the neotropical region, up to the present date (1988). it updates the nomenclature of included taxa, adds taxonomic units proposed after the kuhnt's genera insectorum (kuhnt, 1909) and includes abbreviated references to the literature, which are fully cited at the end of this catalogue. the systematic order follows kuhnt, 1909, and afterwards, the position given to each taxa by the original author.

Abstract: Se detallan 49 registros estatales nuevos para 38 especies de Geotrupidae, Hybosoridae, Melolonthidae y Scarabaeidae en Coahuila (1), Colima (3), Chiapas (1), Durango (1), Guerrero (1), Guanajuato (5), Hidalgo (4), Jalisco (1), Michoacán (2), Nayarit (2), Oaxaca (1), Querétaro (8), San Luis Potosí (10), Sonora (1), Tlaxcala (3), Tamaulipas (1), Veracruz (1), Zacatecas (1) y Distrito Federal (2). Forty nine new state records of 38 species of Geotrupidae, Hybosoridae, Melolonthidae and Scarabaeidae are listed for Coahuila (1), Colima (3), Chiapas (1), Durango (1), Guerrero (1), Guanajuato (5), Hidalgo (4), Jalisco (1), Michoacán (2), Nayarit (2), Oaxaca (1), Querétaro (8), San Luis Potosí (10), Sonora (1), Tlaxcala (3), Tamaulipas (1), Veracruz (1), Zacatecas (1), and Distrito Federal (2). Two new country records for Amithao cavifrons (Burmeister) in Guatemala (El Peten) and Leucothyreus femoratus Burmeister in Nicaragua (Granada) are also listed. Based on the individual tracks of the species analyzed, the congruence of the distribution of every species with previously observed biogeographic patterns in Scarabaeoidea and other beetle groups is discussed.

ZooKeys , 2011, DOI: 10.3897/zookeys.134.1673
Abstract: New data concerning the occurrence of pleasing fungus beetles (Coleoptera: Erotylidae) in Poland are given, with a focus on rare and difficult to identify Central European taxa. Cryptophilus cf. integer (Heer) (Cryptophilinae) is reported from the Polish territory for the first time based on adult and larval specimens collected in the Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland. Identification problems concerning species of Cryptophilus introduced to Europe are discussed. Triplax carpathica Reitter (Erotylinae) is recorded from the Bia owie a Primeval Forest, which is the first known non-Carpathian finding of this species, located in the close proximity of the Polish-Belarussian UNESCO World Heritage Site “Bia owie a Forest”. Discussion of T. carpathica being conspecific with Siberian T. rufiventris Gebler is provided. New Polish localities of several other Erotylidae are reported, and an updated key to Central European species of Triplax is given. The Triplax key is supplemented with dorsal and ventral habitus images of all treated Triplax species. One of the rarest Central European erotyline species Combocerus glaber (Schaller) is recorded from xerothermic grasslands in North-West Poland.

Although ladybirds are the most charismatic beetles, are practically unknown in the Magellan region. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to compile, update and submit new records of ladybirds, also provide regional distribution, biogeographical and ecological data. 13 species of ladybirds from Magellan region are recorded in the literature and fve new records are added. We discussed their regional distribution and its possible relationship to phytogeographical regions proposed for Magellan region.

Abstract: The type of Derallus strigipennis Orchymont, 1940 is redescribed and figured. New records are given for three other species of the genus: D.ambitus Orchymont, 1940 from Ecuador, D.argutus Orchymont, 1940 from Argentina and Bolivia, and D. intermedius Oliva 1995 from Bolivia and Guyana. A key to the described species is given.
