Sun Chuo, born in the Taiyuan Sun Clan, was a famous scholar in the Middle Eastern Jin Dynasty. He had an official and poetry creation with uncommon brilliance, but conducted not very well. Sun Chuo was sarcastic, for he was very confident of his talent. He enjoyed mountains and water landscapes. And he had an intimate association with eminent monks. From Sun Chuo's literary works and political activities, we can see he was content to exercise sovereignty over the south of Changjiang River.
