This paper deals with the Shore hardness tests of technical rubber parts. It collects the main relative references and datas of this topic then discusses the instruments with its advantages and disadvantages. The second part of this paper shows a complex Shore hardness test using the pertinent standard on a rubber spring used in the vehicle industry. The results are evaluated with the method of statistics of material test. The aim of this project is to determine the Shore hardnesses of different technical rubber parts for predicting the material parameters to variant finite element codes which can handle hyperelastic materials.
