Abstract:

in order to evaluate the effect of the application of fertilizers in the growth and yield of horn musa aab, plantain an essay was carried out in the colon municipality, "el paraiso" zone (ln: 8°56′00" and lw: 71°22′00")according to its requirements. treatments were plants without fertilization (t0), fertilized each three months (t1) applied at the time of the flowering (100% of phosphorus and 40% of potassium), and at the time of capping (60% of potassium) (t2), fertilized like a t2 but only half of the fertilizer (t3), fertilized like t2 but fertilized only with urea (t4). the design was of grouping at random with 25 repetitions, by applying the fertilizer to shoots at mother crop in flowering during a production cycle. significant differences were found only for the variable foliar emission, being observed between 1.9 and 2 fortnightly leaves. the greatest value of height and perimeter of the pseudo stem was 4.7 and 0.6 m (t4) respectively. the total amount of leaves was of 36 and in leaves a harvest of 11. all the treatments presented 7 hands. the required time for the blossom was 252 days for (t4) and 275 to 293 for the rest of the treatments. the analysis showed high significance for the yield variable by being 17.74 kg.bunch-1 the highest (t4) and 13.05 kg.bunch-1 the lowest (t3).
