%X Employees are considered as key assets in an organization to ensure the attainment of sustainable business performance and long-term growth. The role of employee motivation in maintaining prolonged firm productivity is critically evaluated in this study. Relevant secondary articles are gathered in this study as a secondary qualitative strategy and an explanatory research design is adopted in this paper. Based on the relevant articles different factors that contribute in maintaining an optimum level of employee motivation are assessed here. It is found that the development of a positive work environment by maintaining team cooperation and communication plays a significant role in encouraging the workforce.
